  1. I always have scratched my head how it takes 12 people to convict a man of a crime, but a simple majority is sufficient to set the law of the land, affecting everyone, rather than one person's fate.
  2. that about sums it up for me.... LOL. Well, self-awareness is a point in your favor
  3. Good for you! I never was able to get all the way through it. Probably because it is a genre I truly detest. (The idiot who never learns from their mistakes continues to bumble through life.) Never had the patience for it. He's mentally ill. I don't think it's possible for him to learn from his mistakes. Unless you mean SAncho - he's just a dumbass
  4. Don Quixote (currently in the 2nd book). It's starting to get really repetitive at this point, but I'm committed to pushing through to the end The Revenant. I saw the movie and think this may actually be a case where, on balance, I like the movie better than the book.
  5. if he does nominate and it's blocked on a vote until the election is over - what'll you think happens? Hillary nominates the same person or picks someone else?
  6. yeah, and there is a low bar for president too (natural born, 35 or older). That's how a community organizer becomes president, among other unqualified turds. No need to replicate that pattern. Nominate a qualified judge from the lower courts.
  7. Awesome! Post here - and maybe we can start seeing beer ads at the top of the page!
  8. Community Organizer is indeed sufficient background to join SCOTUS
  9. Are you suggesting he nominates himself?
  10. Unlike the OP, right? I mean, no potty mouth on him.
  11. Yep. Roadkill on the information superhighway. And these people vote... and accuse everyone of being in need of "education"
  12. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
  13. More NP fascism. Is anyone going to actually defend it this time here on cc.com?
  14. Timeline, by M. Crichton. Now on to "Into the Wild".
  15. First Lemmy, now Scalia. We're next
  16. You are the master of finding obscure and disturbing photos!
  17. If you have mainly done mid to late summer routes in the enchantments, then maybe early may would give you a whole new feel to a familiar area. There are many routes that are best in may that may be new to you. With the added benefit of better than west side weather. Also would not need a camping permit and road should be clear to TH. Beware that they are extending the permit season (and starting a month earlier). :-( "The limited entry FEE permit requirement has been expanded in 2016. Limited entry FEE permits are now required May 15 to October 31 for overnight trips. Since demand for overnight permits exceeds supply, a lottery is held annually. For more information, visit the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest webpage. "
  18. I can't keep it together Captain! She's breaking up!
  19. I can't make it through a whole video. fuck
  20. cool chart. I like Islays but am in the mood for them only occasionally. usually I go for the highland malts - glenmorangies are my current favorites
  21. yep, many people hate Islays. unfortunately not enough hate them, because they are still fucking expensive. demand and supply and all that the dewshine story is terrible. Methanol poisoning has got to be one of the worst ways to die.
  22. occasionally I can detect flavors and aromas as you read in the reviews, on the store label, etc, but honestly, just enjoy drinking the scotch without dwelling on that aspect
