how much?

I was just there this morning (11am) and there was still a good selection of rock shoes and boots nepal extremes and lhotse as well as makalu. A bunch of harnesses and chalk bags. otherwise stuff is pretty much gone. one guy was buying up a shat load of stuff to sell. get there for an extra pair of new climbing shoes or a good mountaineering boot!

I'm looking for any climbing gear that you want to get rid of hassle free for cheap or for free...obviously, if its questionable i won't use it for climbing but rather for projects or practice. I'll take anything you want to get rid of!

I just moved to seattle and will be in the area through the summer...I'm wanting to get out to the cascades to climb anything and everything...i also just want to do rock as much as possible too...my only problem is i don't have a consistent partner(s) who is experienced enough to do this...I love to ice climb, do alpine, and rock but i'm not very good at any of it. i have a huge desire to get out and climb more but usually can't find poeple to go with who will teach me and or do a bit easier routes. anyway email me if you wanna start getting out asap! sethwhite01 at hotmail cheers

I've been up to mount erie hundreds of times with big groups and without. I know that the group that i guide for is actually on of the main groups that uses mt erie during the summer months and we teach and enforce proper waste disposal in the form of blue bagging. more often than not though the clients just hold it till the end of the day for a real restroom. Furthermore, they have tried multiple times to place a porta-potty at the top for people's convenience but it is vandalized so much and over used to the extent that they would have to come up to clean it probably 3 or 4 times a day in to ensure that it was a more pleasant place than using the bushes as a toilet anyway. Besides that only the people at the top would even bother using it anyway as stated before ("And do you really think ANY climber at the BOTTOM of a climb will actually hike (or climb) all the way to the top to use the porta potty?...would you?....fat chance.") with all considerations included, i think that mt erie isn't half as bad as some places i've been in terms of cleanliness. cheers
