  1. No way dude, I measured from the bottom of his feet to the ground (16.5 feet)!! You smoking the crack colij boyee!
  2. So maybe there should be R and X ratings on boulder problems...
  3. hmm... well I'll have to factor in the decrease in the force due to gravity for boulderers (mass*7.2 m/sec^2 vs. mass*9.8 m/s^2, for regular people) when they are below 20 feet, so I'm gonna say, approximately pretty hard.
  4. ...so the speed at which the climber hits the ground according to the formula v=(2ad)^0.5 would be 32.6 ft/sec, or 22.2 mi/hr. Keeping in mind that this is independent of the climber's mass (even for someone of cracked's proportions).
  5. Las tazas sobre el mantel, La lluvia derramada, Un poco de miel, Un poco de miel, No basta...
  6. And their grip might be decent from rockin the handlebars.
  7. So on my screen the guy measures 3.5 cm. From the dirt to the top of the boulder measures 15 cm. Straighten him out and maybe he'd measure 4 cm, so 15/4 rounds up to 4 body lengths. If he's 6 feet tall, the boulder is somewhere around 22.5 feet high. Which comes pretty close to Distel's 21.
  8. I thought that was mandatory for climbing .14's?

    Dannyism?

Yeah that sounds like a pretty normal pace.
  10. I wonder what the average thigh circumference of a 5.14 climber is...
  11. Yeah but it's battlecage style so you get winner.
  12. that's because I was... Actually the Birthday Suit is a registered trademark of the US Postal service and your use of the trademark without proper legal consent or proper trademark recognition is punishable by a fine of $10 Million which will be used to fund US Postal Service Tour de France sponsorship for next year. (feel big smackdown coming on, after all she is THE LAW GODDESS...)
  13. I challenge Distel to 5.7 leading contest!!
  14. Look, somebody wasted a perfectly good bodybuilder just for his hide.
  15. terraserver... or for the more civilized, USA Photomaps: http://jdmcox.com/
  16. skykilo has a point I mean the snow level is what, 7000 feet right now?
  17. Well apparently that was a critical design factor accomplished in cooperation between Lance and the suit designers. The modification supposedly saves about 0.126 kg/m^2 force due to pressure at a speed of 40 km/h.
  18. Lance's newly designed race suit, the culmination of several years of secret development by our nation's top materials scientists and aerodynamic engineers, has resulted in the finest, most revolutionary breakthrough in competitive road bicycling. The US Postal service, official owner and sponsor of the new race suit, has plans to release it for public consumption in 2005, following Lance's victory in the Tour de France. However there is rumor that the USPS may authorize the release of a professional version to its employees prior to the conclusion of the Tour.
  19. Good question, but I recently did an overnight with three people including myself and we did all of our cooking and snow melting on a full 11 oz bottle, and there was even a little left over.
  20. and as if they didn't cost enough already...
  21. This TR was especially satisfying for those of us who are using bad weather as a justification for not gettin they climb on. Oh and also for those of us who really like:
