    well the whole judicial system seems insanely expensive. we should privatize the courts to make them answer to the market. think "the peoples court" here...

    your sarcasm detector is broken. imo, while some might have moral outrage over this, it is just simple enforcement of laws that have been on the books since when the crime was committed.
