Plastic grocery bags are photo-degradeable. The UV in sunlight will break them down in a year or two. If you put them in a landfill, they will probably last forever. FYI - Most residential recycling programs accept plastic bags as long as they are bagged up. Another FYI - typical grocery pags are made of Polyethylene, the same stuff that your skinny slings are made of. The sling material has been molecularly manipulated, but it's essentially the same material. CBS will post in 3...2...1...

Yeah, I read it. Are you always a dick, or is that the first thing that came to your mind? Not all hardtails are XC bikes. You don't need a springy backside to ride difficult stuff.

What about a hardtail with a burly front shock, maybe even with a lock out? Dropping the rear suspension saves a ton of weight.

I read a bit on gloves that recommended deerskin. They had a bunch of info about how it stretched or some such nonsense and how it was better than cow or goat for motorcycle gear. I think it was all sales crap since the company was (at the time) the only seller of deerhide riding goods. I would look at what the pro riding suits are made of. Those guys no more about abrasion resistant clothing than anyone.

You can chill in the back with the shoe-starers, or you can move up to the front to get some action. I saw Slayer a few years back at The Showbox. THe only "safe" place to stand was way back in the enty area. The entire floor was going apeshit. Best show ever
