  4. Dude those beers were like at least 16ouncers
  5. Dude, we're gonna be there the week before that.
  6. drank some beer and climbed some routes in-between.
  7. I started drinking cuz of weather like this. Now I am happy too whatever the weather.
  8. If it's pretty much rotten what is so sweet about it. There definitely is no shortage of steep choss tossin around here.
  9. Crack: ROTC Sport: Heavens Gate
  10. Something doesn't seem right with the picture. so the yellow runner is girthed around the black one. but the side that is cut is not the part of the sling that would be rubbing against the black runner, which presumably would have been the one doing the cutting. The portion of the yellow runner that is in contact with the black one is still intact. hmmmmm.
  11. bony fingers?
  12. Hike the olympic coast from South beach to crescent lake and beyond.
  13. belay loops 25kN cams~6-14kN nuts~2-14kN slings~22kN biners~20-25kN The belay loop is fukin' bomber, and is in fact one of the strongest links in the safety chain, however it is made of nylon and definitely has a short(er) lifespan than other equipment. There is really no reason not to depend on it with confidence, unless it's heavily worn, damaged, or getting frail with age...then it's definitely time for it to be retired. How many of us have old ass cams with the original sling attached? I've seen some crazy old slings on cams around...probably should be replacing those too. RIP Todd Skinner, the climbing world and humanity as a whole has lost an inspiration
  14. If you don't like crowds and bottlenecks on climbs...climb something else. I climbed that route last year, and I think I anchored to a couple of nuts and maybe a small cam up and left of the bolts( I think) mostly cuz I didn't know where the fuck I was going and thought the route went up and left from there instead of over to the right. And it worked out just fine. Those bolts are unnecessary...if they are the ones I'm thinking of and we're talking about here.
  15. How about moving PC night to Thursday? Cheap ass beer at Dante's. something like $1 fro 7-8, $2 from 8-9 and $3 from 9-10. it's usually pretty quiet early in the evening and they've got a huge table for everyone. and a nice bonus is that by the time all the cute little co-ed girls show up around 10ish you'll be filled to the brim with liquid courage
  16. stone and 35th I think.
  17. Who's up for some climbing out in the desert sun? Vantage, Tieton, L-Town? can drive.
  18. how about the good ole Pacific Inn on Stone Way?
  19. hit on all the toofless women...never fails...plus, then they can't bite.
  20. Arcteryx Needle 55 $125
  21. Not sure about the Centerfold bolts either. We climbed the route a few days ago, and while I certainly didn't look very hard, I didn't notice any patch marks.
