  1. Yeah, Blake that's exactly what we did. We skied to pretty much the high spot of the Fremont Glacier, which is remarkably flat once you're over the moraine. Sky has a rad pic of me on the "summit pyramid" of the Fremont Glacier. Rolf..no it's not Tricouni...it's actually just a little sub-summit of Buckner...kinda like the ENE face. But the face is pretty big and gnarly lookin for sure. Mike...Yeah that couloir on Booker looks sweet! Someone needs to go get that for sure! have fun!
  2. Goddamned Thunder Creek valley Skinning away the hours.... ...and skinning.... ....and skinning.... ....and skinnin.... ...until two days later we finally reach camp....which wasn't even as far as we had hoped to get in one day... Park Creek Pass Booker After we had ruled out our first 10 objectives....we continued up to option #11 ....what was our objective...still so far away Not a bad view We'll be back!

  14. No I missed them. Damn. Wish I had noticed those. What are some of the other ones? are they actually etched into the hangers or just written on with a pen or something? You could write a decent sized novel if you wrote one word on every bolt that's on that route. sweet route though for sure!
  15. Yeah the sheep were up on the prow of rock that forks oak creek canyon. Pretty cool. Big males, one had a huge set of horns on him. They just stared at us for a bit before clamberin off.
  16. spent a few days in Red Rocks variously climbing, feeling sick, sleeping a ton, hiking around the canyons, drinking, climbing some more, and generally trying to avoid the strip. Climbed a bit at the first pullout, pine creek canyon, deep in oak creek canyon and in calico hills. Awesome weekend! Definitely want to spend more time in the area.
  17. good luck dude, might want to check on the condition of the Carbon River Rd. Think it might be washed out in a couple spots.
  18. Man, I don't really know what the grade is...its probably 11-something, all I know is that it's a damn awesome crack

  20. I've got the BD BetaLight and it kicks ass. The do everything super light tent.
  21. Yeah I see what you're saying, it does seem like the unit would move as a whole, but I think that there is enough "free" movement of the strands of the yellow runner descending from the hitch to cause some sawing...I don't know...try it at home I guess and see if you can get any separate movement by the descending strands.
  22. Yeah the two runners joined by the hitch will not move across each other...cuz it's essentially a knot...however, the strands of the yellow runner coming down out of the hitch can swing back and forth if the weighted rope is swinging also by the person on it going left or right, so the back and forth motion of the weighted yellow runner abrating against the loop of yellow runner forming the hitch seems to have caused the failure....YIKES!!!
