  1. He was thrashing on me in in the chat room last night. He seems very angry about being banned. In fact he thinks I should be banned and not him. confused.gif

Maybe it's time to bring the old bombastic gasbag back into the fold.....???

I will say that it seems that he feels that he has more to say on the bolting issue. Consider y'all selves warned.

  2. If you still like film, here's a very cool pocket camera for you. The Olympus XA is fully manual and takes fantastic pictures for a pocket camera. I should shoot with it myself, but like so many of us, now that I have a digital I can't be bothered with film. The XA is in fine shape. $40.

Oh yeah, NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, so it's NOT FUNNY TO ANYONE BUT YOU.

Dude, who knew it would stress you out so much! "Tech" is the point in live perfomance in between when the set gets assembled in the theatre and the show opens. You know, the part where the actors rehearse on stage. Jason M. knows.

Anyway, I said "bolt gun." So there. tongue.gif

  4. Hmmm, worst Tech ever? That's a toughie, but I'm going to make it a tie between Palleas and Mellisande at Seattle Opera, 1993. Dale Chihuly's debut as a set designer, among other follies. Number two in the tie-up is the Fifth Avenue's Wizard of Oz, later that same year. Highlights include the most grievances ever filed by a stage crew, probably in the history of the universe, and having an actress pass out on a Foy wire after the director kept her on the wire while he did some blocking changes. Whoops.

    Oh wait, never mind.

The bolt gun, definitely the bolt gun. hahaha.gif

  5. Sorry guys, but I had plans with Stefan and some other folks for this same weekend last year....and dumbass went and fell off Mount Temple and got to ride in the chopper and all that. Then he had some weak excuse about being in the hospital or whatever so we ended up not going. So now that he's ambulatory, we are going to give it a go. I kinda had this weekend planned since last year, so even if I hadn't been uninvited, I wouldn't have been able to make it.

Plus no offense to the rowdy drunks, but my SO is leaving on a longish business trip a few days later, and a quiet weekend with some friends and some slackish peak bagging is probably more the ticket than getting smashed and throwing chairs. Have fun you guys, and I promise I'll make one of these things one of these days. Then the allegation that I don't climb will be replaced with the truth: I do, and badly. smile.gif

  6. I pretty much hung up on one of my closest friends the other day. He is a conservative, bless his poor heart, but the clincher is that he insists that what they do on Fox news is, as they say, "fair and balanced" and represents an unbiased view on the news. He then chastised for me for listening to NPR, as "you cannot get the news without seeing the pictures" and gave me a hard time for not being a responsible citizen in getting all of the news sources available--and the key thing he feels I am missing is the news that is on cable television. rolleyes.gif

  7. Oh, shoot I missed something on TV again. Thank GOD he had a good excuse for THAT nonsense, as well as saying he didn't want to talk about the groping of the women. They were all for sure just glad to get groped by such a famous guy. Who wouldn't want that?

I'm sure he will make a super governor for California!

Funny - virtually all of the groups attacking Schwarzenegger on this issue spared nothing in their efforts to excuse Clinton of the same conduct. Weak.

Again "A stife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles."

Oh, sorry I guess I missed the part when Bill Clinton said he admired Hitler. My bad!
