  1. And this is typical of people on the right- dilute the argument with shit. The fact is these companies moved in, extracted gas, now they are walking away, leaving clean up costs to taxpayers. And who gives a flying fuck what science was used, when we are talking a very specific issue. These wells need to be sealed, because other wise they will pollute, and the clean up costs would be much higher. The fact is mining industry acts with zero accountability in every type of extraction, leaving tax payers with astronomical costs of cleanups. And this is exactly what socialism is- split the profits between a few chosen cronies, and fuck the general public.
  2. Clean water act was not written and voted in till 1972. What relevance is there to what happened before 1972? The fact is, the numbers clearly show methane pollution was present, but there is also clear data showing the frequency and the levels of contamination with methane in water correlates to development of hydraulic fracturing. Your line of argument is similar to people who point naturally occurring radiation, and saying accidents like Fukushima or Chernobyl did virtually nothing to the areas effected.
  3. Actually the most common insults are simple "kurwa" "kurwa mac" and "chuj w dupe". But google would not show this. Just to show your fake life califuckingfornia wanna be, pretend you are someone else.
  4. probably not, however I have a pretty good idea why you are.
  5. It's from all the Russian cock he sucked as a youngster. I think you are mistaking me with your mom.

  7. Anyone knows where to find topos from Deprivation and from N Buttress Couloir? Found this gem- hi rez photo of the Buttress:
  8. not a big fan of entire film made of gopro pov. Kind of giving me a headache in about 30 seconds.
  9. I find actual weight training, plus a finger board much better for staying in shape for climbing. Pull-ups also can cause elbow and shoulder repetitive strain injuries if you are not careful.
  10. Yea, lots of money for some. For others in the community not such a deal. Gasland Yes, corporate shills want us to believe drinking lighting fluid is good for your health.
  11. sounds like a great recovery. just fyi, I find it usually takes about 12-18 months for the bones and tissues attaching to them to recover completely. In all honesty it took me something like 12 months to recover from my appendectomy and about 6 months to recover from shoulder dislocation. I regained a full function very quickly, but these are the times it took me to get back to 100% fitness levels prior to these events. So don't get frustrated, if you feel like your body fitness is not as it was for about a year. Now also don't forget to work your upper body for climbing. Even though you still can't climb, you can use finger board for finger strength, you can do lat machine, rowing machines, bendover rows, barbell rows, to keep you upper body muscles strong. In the early 90's I had some big toe issues, which sidelined me for a few weeks at the time, and every time I returned to climbing, I was actually stronger, because I trained my upper body like a fiend.
  12. Sheep aside, their conservatism is kind of on a shaky ground.
  13. what matter to him is how many sheep he fucked last month.
  14. If you remember out route on East Face of Pyramid Peak, this song inspired the name of the route [video:youtube]VB3GzmC_9rI
  15. "Koch was founded by Fred C. Koch, who was born in Texas in 1900. He trained as an engineer at MIT and invented a new thermal cracking process that turned crude into gasoline. Koch made a fortune in the 1930s by helping Stalinist Russia upgrade its oil fields". HERE Something sounded very familiar about tea party rhetoric. Yea, very conservative….

  18. On the contrary, avi hazard was low most of the winter, hence there was plenty of alpine ice and alpine mixed. Also made it for easier travel to such locations as the Headwall

  20. Whistler gives you live temp feed across the mountain. It's 5C at almost 7000 ft at 9:30 pm. I doubt it's even freezing at 9000ft at night at the moment.
  21. They could drop the beaver right onto my rooster!
  22. Well, you know things evolve. This might be good enough vision for late 19th or early 20th century, but since then we (as society) figure out maybe a better method. For instance we have governmental laws prohibiting child labor. That kind of goes beyond "national security". And this is the crux of the issue. Throughout the decades of the history of the country the role change just from providing "national security" to regulating and providing safe and equal playing field (vide Glass- Steagall Act of 1933). The neo-cons like KKK want to turn the clock a couple of hundreds of years, ideally reinstating child labor and such practices in the process. In general they are not any different Taliban or ISIS trying to revert matters back to 11th century.
  23. My point was this is how twisted republican strategy and politics is. And this type of policy implemented essentially enacted a class of untouchables: gas and oil, banking, insurance execs, who simply act with impunity. This is not capitalism- in capitalism you pay for services and goods. This is wealth redistribution, and lining your own pocket, then stiffing the tax paying public with the rest of the actual cost.
  24. And the case for private ownership? Are you fucking kidding me? Yes, maybe start talking about self-regulation as well? WTF? The only case here is: we need to regulate the fuck out of the oil and gas industry, and we need to start asking for payment up front. There is a reoccurring pattern of depleting resources, followed with a bankruptcy protection. And some of these polluters should be criminally liable, maybe these CEo's and FCO's would rethink their decision making process.
  25. drill baby drill Real socialism is extracting a public resource, and then stiffing a tax payer with the cost of clean up. Drill baby drill is coming home to roost. Why aren't these companies required a bond for each well in the amount that would cover the eventual cost of cleanup? KKK and republifucks should be forcefully relocated to such areas, so they could experience first hand the shit they create. "After the methane industry collapse, there were almost 4,000 wells in Wyoming that the company responsible walked away from. Now, the state has to pay the price." "There is a way to ensure there's enough money for cleanup: make companies pay for all of it upfront. But that's not on the table in Wyoming, or anywhere else in the country."
