  1. broadband is great if you want to download large files, set up a server (web or ftp) on your computer, and spray 24-7 on cc.com.
  2. sometimes I wear gaiters when I don't need them because the stupid clip is so much of a hassle to get on and off my laces I just leave them on my boots. They've since changed the clip design, but these still work fine (minus the clip issue), so I haven't gotten new ones.
  3. so are there other high-speed options for those with a strong dislike of Comcast but without a landline? I've yet to find one...
  4. I skipped my 5th last year, but I'll likely go to my 10th.

    wicked

I wondered where all our tax dollars were going. Streak away timm@y!
  6. Alpinfox, thanx for the useful reply. I agree that the pictures may look a little rediculous, but you gotta start somewhere, and in some cases you don't know what's outside of the picture. Some people want to climb, but don't know anyone else who does, and these groups provide a way so they can learn. They guy in first picture is walking down a slab. If I'd never done it before, I'd certainly want to try it on that rock rather than on something steeper 1000 feet above the deck (even though it could be done.) For all the people who are joking about this, are these people in the picture preventing you from climbing? Are they pouring sugar in your gas tank and pissing on you from great heights?
  7. exactly, and I get pissed off when people make it sound like if you're not comfortable with it, they're obviously much better than you... me, I'm comfortable with it, prolly more so than I should be, but I do *NOT* hold it against people if they're not as comfortable as I am...
  8. so now anyone who has ever started climbing is required to be comfortable with rappelling within two days after they first climbed??? I rarely say this to anyone, but I think you need to learn about how dangerous rappelling can be the hard way...
  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you people are pathetic. Why don't you go post in the new I'M MUCH BETTER THAN YOU, AND I WAS NEVER A NEWBIE MYSELF FORUM
  10. I was going to suggest the I'M BETTER THAN YOU FORUM or the I WAS NEVER A NEWBIE FORUM , but you seem to have covered it pretty well chucK...
  11. I think you're both saying the same thing. F8 just said that the person should keep walking, not that you should leave them alone. DP didn't say that you should stop them, only that you should assist rather than climb.
  12. I don't know where it started out, but I don't think it was in spray. Look at AlpineK's post at the top of the 2nd page...
  13. I gotta admit I like the Fitzroy pic though!
  14. I'm so glad that you all learned to rappel on a vertical or overhanging wall 1000's of feet in the air above a pool full of ill-tempered sea bass with lasers strapped to their freakin' heads...
  15. $30 CDN is definately more reasonable. Comcast
  16. you people are idiots. all you do is complain about the system, fees, etc. It sounds like Beck is actually out there trying to do something about it, rather than just sit there, complain, and spray on the internet. Go Beck!
  17. you fucking terroist! I was wondering who would pick up on this... dang! now I'm figrued out!
  18. that looks like some good cliff jumping!
  19. even ice fishing Dru?
  20. well hell! that doesn't sound too bad at all, might even be worth a visit! But I ain't movin' away from the Pacific North Wet!
  21. article on hiking up Mt. Greylock? worth a trip out there?!?!?
  22. yeah, Comcost pisses me off. They can charge whatever they want and raise rates on a whim. I'd like to switch to DSL, but I've got a cell phone and no landline... $45/mo for access is a little steep.
  23. we had a IIgs and an XT clone. I think we got the XT clone first, but I could be wrong. All I would do on it was play the original M$ Flight Sim and crash the plane into the building...
  24. so still no plans to get a bottling machine, right?
