so I have to be back in bham by 2pm, but who is down for an early start? Murrin park? Hope bouldering? Squam bouldering??
I'm down to leave bham around 6am, get to squam around 7:45, climb until noon. We can leave earlier too, anybody interested??
LCC has some of the best granite bouldering in the nation. Trad and sport in big and little as well.
check out Utahclimbers.com
Most of the people on the site are from SLC, but there are different forums for each area. Talk to Shaft and Jun, both very nice guys and they can give you all the beta.
ya damn right! but I got news for ya, the more sportclimbing I do the less pictures I take. So find me a good sport climbing bud and there will be a lack of bouldering shots.
there is a super good boulder at erie as well, the Goliath boulder.
Problems from left to right: vb, v0, v3, v8/9, v7/8, v10, v5, v5, then some easy variations over a usually swampy landing.
yeah yeah, laugh it up, you just wait until I get into a little better endurance shape mister! At least I didn't start to get pumped until around the 6th bolt, that was like a PR or something
day one of trying to become a better sport climber:
Jen and I drove up friday afternoon, did Zoe (10a, 25m) and it is a really fun climb. The first 20 or so meters is under vertical and then you get a nice little bulge at the top with huge jugs, then a couple mantels and you're at the top of the crag. I highly recommend this route. Well protected balancy fun climbing.
We then walked over to Pet wall and checked everything out. Went to the lower area and I thought I was leading Pleasant Pheasant. By about the 6th bolt I was starting to get pretty pumped and thought I was a big wuss. After finishing the climb and after Jen TRed it I was complaining about it being f'ing hard for 11a. Consulted the guidebook and figured out we'd done Air BC. Pretty fun climb, not fantastic, really long, I think 28m. After that I really wanted to get on Youth Gone Wild but it was getting close to 7:45 and we didn't want to hike out in the dark.
Psyched to go back, that sport climbing stuff is pretty fun
thanks, yeah it is going to pay fairly well.
I'm sure she'll figure something out. Make her sign the sheet declaring her major, you feel like you are giving your life away. I'm lucky in that I enjoy my major and didn't feel bad signing early.
its not specifically here on campus. Campus Democrats is a National Organization, basically the same as Young Republicans (something close to that name).
Post a pic of your daughter and she will be well taken care of on campus. Should of sent her to Catholic University of America, largest group of Rapublicans in the nation. Even I got a scholarship there and I tend to vote quite liberal.
