Cool app, nice work!!!

Thanks for the info, will look into these. Do you know anything about campgrounds? I'm having a hard time figuring out which (if any) are open in the winter...
-
I'm wondering if anybody has any advice on where to stay (cheap) in the Methow in wintertime. Do you have a favorite campground that stays open all year? Thank you!

summitchaserCJB, where you able to book it from your computer in the USA? Did you go Vancouver -> Las Vegas? Anything else weird? I was getting a message that said the voucher was invalid when I did that... sure would like for it to work!
-
Unfortunately the rules of this voucher seem to have been recently modified such that the trip must begin and end in Canada, AND be booked from Canada. Even when I tried (from my computer in Seattle) to create a Vancouver -> Las itinerary it deems the voucher invalid. Dang.

Looks like it's in the news now: http://www.king5.com/news/local/Mount-Rainier-climber-feared-dead-99473089.html

Hello Climbers, Spring is coming and I'm gearing up to teach some Open Water Swim clinics in Lake Washington. I figure there is some overlap between the climbing and the triathlon communities, and wanted to spread the word! I'm offering 3 types of courses ranging from hour-long individual sessions to 6-week small-group complete race preparation. Swimming is a great way to cross train and get some gentle-on-the-joints aerobic exercise that also strengthens your back and core. You can check it out here: www.seattleopenwater.com Thanks! Emily

This reality is never far from my thoughts. My heart aches for the siblings, significant others, parents and friends for whom the reality has struck. Condolences to all involved.

Hello, This is a little off-topic, but I imagine there are some triathletes (or soon to be triathletes) on this board who may be interested in Open Water Swim clinics, and I am going to be teaching some this summer. They range from full 6-week race preparation to hour-long one-on-one intensives, and are aimed at helping you achieve the skills and comfort necessary for safe and fun open water swimming. Do you know any gals training for the Danskin who are nervous about the swim? Please spread the word! www.seattleopenwater.com Thanks!!! Emily PS: Swimming is an excellent low-impact, aerobic workout that strengthens your core and is an excellent complement to climbing!

Thanks so much... I got one (found somebody with an office job willing to go rooting around at the office for me and found one). It is for use at a memorial service, so I am extra glad to have it. Thanks again.

Hello, I really need to rent/borrow a digital projector for TOMORROW, Sunday the 27th. Does anybody know where I could get one? I'm in Seattle... Thanks so much!!

Oly- Maybe you're able to use some of the time in bed on drugs to make up some wicked poetry?? Get better soon!!! Thinking about you and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hi Paul Thanks for your offer... I ran out of time and ended up using professional stock photos. Maybe next time. thanks again.
-
nope. i've had good luck around here asking for Washington state photography, but it looks like WA DC might have been a stretch.
-
My request isn't northwesty this time, but I know there are plenty of photographers on this site and thought I'd ask you all first: Does anybody have any WA DC stock photography that they'd be willing to sell for use on a website? Send me a link and name your price. thanks!
-
Yes Oly, and I wish those enlightened in the ways of the meatsack would come forth with their knowledge.
-
indeed well said, Billygoat... and the question still stands.
-
Why do you call Jesse Meatsack #1? Please please please elaborate. Thank you.

When I first heard this story I made the assumption that there must have been something sketchy about the women... not a fair assumption at all, but perhaps one to help me believe that this sort of aparently "random" violence wouldn't *really* happen to normal or good people, especially those out doing a wholesome activity. Turns out I knew the younger of the deceased, in addition to another of the (not involved in the homicide) sisters. These women were vibrant, intelligent, interesting outdoorsy folks... the kind that we all know or could easilly have known. Unthinkably tragic. Condolances to the family.

Welcome home Sam!!! Reading your story brought back nearly the intensity of emotion of the initial event... thanks for taking the time to write out such a detailed and open account of your experience. It's fantastic to have you and the menagerie back! e
