  1. Looks like a giant whale turd to me. Tell Jose to give it the sniff test.
  2. The most difficult aspect is crossing Fall Creek. We did it Sunday 6/21, no snow on the ridge but plenty between the trailhead and the saddle. If you ski in take your skis up the ridge and use them on the scree slope decent. Great standing glissade conditions too.
  3. Well its a long story but if you knew me you'd understand.
  4. Thats a rather personal question, don't you think we should be properly introduced first? Or was that your version of foreplay?
  5. TLG I posted this up just to try to keep you entertained (like you have done for us on many days). I thought a story about some guys running up 6,000 foot "summits" in the southern Appalchians would open the spray flood gates. Oh, well guess I shoulda put -'s name in the title banner.
  6. Yeah, as if they're saying to themselves, "Whoa! Did that come from me?" I think it is more like "did I get any on me?" or "Damn, that burned coming out. Wonder if I have any hair left down there?"
  7. Whoopdedoo Hope he didn't get poison ivy or diaper rash in his epic "climb".
  8. You skillfully avoided the question, did you see the big circle in the ice on the lake? It musta been 30-40 yards in diameter. Someone spent some time doing that. Eat at Robertos instead of Super Taco. That'll cut down on the green ooze. There is still snow on the trail well south of the creek crossing at the bridge. Crossing there is a lot easier than trying to follow the trail along the lava flow. Only a few snow bridges or step-across places between the bridge and Green Lakes. I still think you've been flying the Millenium Falcon around the Sisters Wilderness.
  9. Timmy: Did you land your space ship on Green Lake? I noticed a huge perfect circle on the ice yesterday as I gazed down from the summit of Broken Top. It was just like a crop circle but on the skanky ice of Green Lake. The digital photo doesn't show it in enough detail, but there are other witnesses. It sure looked like a spaceship had landed on the lake, and it was only detectable from the summit. You've been posting TRs about Plabfeasts on South and Middle Sisters, so you are prime suspect. Fess up, have you been taking the space ship shuttle up the mountains for your corn snow harvest? It would be a lot easier than skinning up them chosspiles. BTW, after Saturday night's blizzard and yesterday's temperatures not a mosquito or bug was seen from the Spark's Lake campground to the summit or on the return slog. So your green bodily fluids are safe again. I was wondering though, how can mosquitos hatch from a frozen lake? And the snow (barely solid water) still covers the trail from well before Fall Creek all the way to the NW Ridge. Your beta was suspect, but the mountain . The question remains how did that big circe get on the Lake ice?

  18. yeah... PLAYBOY subscription since the age of 6... that's what about 51,243 copies to get through? Damn, Trask is older than I thought. That would make him 4,222 years old.
  19. Rafted it last year. Sure there is granite, but much of it is rotten and I didn't see too much interesting rock right down on the river. I'll bet your rafting buddies aren't going to stop every half mile so you can explore for climbs. But hey you are on vacation...climb on and enjoy .
  20. Trask=Everyone, that dude has multiple personalities. And this is for the missed pagetop
  21. South side is still snowed into just before Morrison Campground. There is lots of slushy snow on the road (except one section on a south exposure near Cold Springs Camground). Cold Springs has 3+ feet of snow on the ground. Take skis if you have them and skin up.
