PLABFEST IS ON! So far confirmed we have myself, becky, and the porno dogs. you dont' have to be a jibbin fool to come along, as becky prolly won't be skiing unless i hump her skis in for her. We plan on heading up Friday afternoon, and staying through Sunday, but if you can only make it for a day feel free to come up. It would be nice to figure out who's coming so we can plan on one nice meal, the hike isn't that bad at all so we can bring in lots of heavy shite. If the weather turns out the be shatty, we can always pack up and go to smiff, so the weekend will be plab no matter what. tim

YEP, plabfest is on still on for the following weekend. snow has been melting very quickly, ridgelines are popping through quick but there should be plenty of corn for plab fest. I'll bump up that topic and post some logistics. I just want to get up this weekend to check shite out and to avoid doing yardwork. Also, if anyone is free monday, i'm heading up to helens unless i can track down boonecountry for some hayden glacier fun.

well we didn't have any quakes in bend last night but we had some fatty electrical storms. they rolled in around 6Pm (while i was at bat for softball, an epic game btw). but they lasted all night long, the lightning must have been rather close to my house as the thunder shook my house and woke me up at least 5 times. electrical storms are way plab, as long as you aren't on top of a ridge exposed. growing up in texas i learned to respect these storms and appreciate them and its kewl to be back in a place where these are common, albeit scary and the fire dangers suck ass, nevertheless ITS PLAB

indeed it has been getting warm, very early, very quickly. an early start will be your friend on any of the big volcanos right now. one should be able to drive to the TH for sure right now. still quite a bit of snow up high, and tam mcarthur (north facing) still has a nice layer on it as well. have fun and start early! tim
