  1. isn't there a new pill for the ladies now, a viagra for female sex drive of sorts, isn't this just called funky col medina?
  2. nah, i run the site to reassure myself that there are people out there that are much more odd than myself. I find this comforting, at the same time though, it really scares me
  3. jah, and grandma is very open about this. she's always talking about gene and his viagra. the worse though was at my cousins wedding were they both got drunk on cheap wine, and there was these young mom's breast feeding, g-ma/gene coudln't stop talking about breast feeding, my gma was bummed and gene kept saying "aw yer just jealous hers are bigger than yours" they were trying to talk softly, but of course we know what that means with old folk. classic gene is a suave character, he's hip, has an email address, and a new buick... the car in which he takes my grandma to hot springs, now that is a beautiful mental image....
  4. leather cherrios? i think climbing with three is fun, as long as there isn't a party of mazamas on the route ain't dat right cletus, brock
  5. wow. this would be pretty funny. we never did determine though when cc.com jumped the shark, that is a crucial event
  6. so my grandma has been dating a new man. good ol betty is pushing 87, and her new beau has bought her a new bed, and is on the pill. they've decided to get married next month, wow. this is just all to bizzare discuss.
  7. you caught me, i wasn't playing vids, i was having an erotic pm fest with my friend ric, you all know him
  8. but if i did that, we wouldn't have this wonderful drama going on. not worth it! fuck i'm hung over. i feel like a tool, i stayed up until 3 playing team fortress with a bunch of 14 year olds on my "friday night", what have i become?
  9. last night i stayed up until 2:30 am drinking franzia and reading pm's. it was a smashing good time. i'm going to publish a book called climbing cyber geeks gone wild with excerpts from private messages. amber came over around 3am so i had to step away from the computer. she worked the unmentionables till the soft glow of the sun rose over the eastern horizon. you know what could fix this whole situation.... i could just disable PM's altogether! then there wouldn't be any potential for me to read them. i just might have to do this to weene myself from my new found addiction.
  10. when you have a chance, and if you care, please read the post at: http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB24&Number=130909

    Privacy

Greetings cc.com'ers- as of late there has been some electronic rumblings and gossip chains spreading rumors that your fearless admins have been reading private messages. pm's i just wanted to set the record straight about this, and at the same time remind everyone of the nature of cc.com privacy, and for that matter, privacy on the internet as a whole. first off, yes jon and i do have the ability to read private messages if we wanted to. do we? no. why? cuz 1 we don't have time for such nonsense, and 2 seeing what people post in the public forums is sometimes enough to make my stomach turn, so i dont' think i could handle the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. in all honesty though, the only time i have ever, and will ever go into the private messages is to fix problems (like we had after the past upgrade), and in situations like that, i only did so at the users request, and while i was in there, I didn't look at the message content either. privacy online as we've said from the begining, this site is not about collecting private information in any way. but a gentle reminder, the nature of communicating via this website is in no way secure. all data you post to the forums is very public, obviously, but in the same manner, an "private messages" much like the email you send is sent in plain text over the internet... anyone with some basic know how could read your "private" messages. that being said, please remember that what you are saying in these private communications, and email (unless you use PGP or a similar technology) can be interecepted and read by others... so keep it clean and don't write anything that you wouldn't mind being read by others. The recent worm that hit SQL database servers is a testament to the insecurity of the internet in general right now. Perhaps we have embraced the technology too quickly, or perhaps software vendors havent' taken the steps to ensure privacy, regardless, as users we need to be cognizant of the privacy issues that are still out there, and subsequently make educated decisions on how we use the internet. Anyhow, hope that this post lets you sleep better tonight knowing that admins/mods don't read your prviate messages. We don't, but someone else who wants to could! If you have any questions at all, you know how to reach me. Keep it safe cyber kiddies- Tim

  20. the funniest thing about sql slammer worm was how hard microsoft's corporate network got hit by it. although they issued a security patch about 8 months ago, they failed to patch all of their internal systems, and didn't have things running smooth on their network until late monday where do you want to go today? that simdesk software sounds pretty cool. i just don't think my users would be hip enough to use it. why don't people load star office instead? there is a ton of great open source tools out there right now, the documentation/usability/ease of deployment is getter better all the time. yet i still am typing on my winxp box, sitting on my win2k network. oh well.
  21. HA! the only run that has snow making on it, thunderbird and there is some issues with the water pressure. anyhow, it was snowing up here today, i got to do some wreckreatin' in a snomo, it was fun. no snow to be made though, its not 28 up here!
