Yes user ratings are gone, please post any issues to this thread. Private Messages I can get the old messages back just fine, but the sender of the messages will be lost. Is this ok with you PM fans? Lemme know.

Well, my weekend was last thur/fri. I took the mutts on a hike up the abondoned deschutes river trail on thursday, and friday we wanked around on grey butte behind smiffy rox. amazing views were had from the top, a see of clouds with all cascade volcanos in site from bachy all the way up to adams. i'll post a panoramic shot once i get off my lazy ass and make it. this actual weeked was spent watching the gapers flock to the high 50's sunny weather on the hill. is it spring already?

ahhh, small world. i haven't been very active in sar as of late, winter times are pretty much spent wanking up here at the mountain. its been rather quiet though, not many calls, so people are either just not going out, or they are being safer

so the message board was down a bit of yesterday due to database issues, but today i'm planning on upgrading the bbs system to add on some more mind controling features. don't know what time i'll do it, right now i gotta go make some bears.

b and i stayed at one of the original ranger cabins for OLY NP a few years back. I wanna say it was up the Dossewallips valley, but I can't really remember now. Anyhow, it was a nice little setup, fridge, appliances, but you had to bring your own water. Great wood stove, neat little cabin and very cheap.

i dunno bout you guys, but i was out doing some lift serviced turns yesterday in me hooded sweatshirt, listening to some cuts on the mp3 player and getting $paid$, it doesn't get much better than that. well perhpas waist deep with faceshotz is pretty good, but i'm not complaining, and even better yet, all those nocal wankers have gone back to their cubicles to write tps reports

i think these rates are pretty comprable to those at Oregon State Parks/smiffy rox

nothing is more magical than having a mountain to yourself. perhaps there we're other people nearby, some patrollers maybe, but the mounds of fresh snow, the wind, and the trees sheilded me from all that is gapage about lift serviced skiing... for that brief 10 minutes i was transported into freshie heaven... my skis, oh so too skinny for the freshies that layeth before thee, but oh the turns were so nice. the turns we're mine, me and the mountain, dancing together in the howling morning wind. as i exited the trees, and snuck in the back door of my building, i realized that although it has just begun, my day has been made magical by this brief lapse into that wonderful freshie bliss. and now i sit here and stare out the window at the line of truck loads of gapers driving into the lot, and i can't help but smile. because for that short time, it was just me and the mountain, the mountain and me... the lone gaper.

$200 for a single person though, damn. its hard to justify paying to ski in my book. legs we're made for hiking.

has anyone ever skiied there with the snow cat service? if so, was it worth the change?$$$

what area are you looking for coverage in specifically, WA, OR, certain mountain passes? FWIW most phones work well in and around Mt. Bachelor: Sprint, CellOne, T-Mobile, but ATT has the worst coverage of the biggies for central oregon.
-
We had a minor slide on Bachelor yesterday as well, off the moraine of the upper bowl. Luckily, a patrol member triggered the slide before any guests were on the mountain as the slide covered the popular summit cross over trail. Everyone needs to be safe even when skiing questionable aspects just out of bounds at resorts as well. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and am thankful the others made it out ok. Tim

I've been out here doing some lift serviced runs the past few weeks, I usually get out once a day. There has been some great face shots as of late, but the gaper factor is rather high at bachelor right now. Yesterday alone there were 9k+ skiers on the mountain, and that is a bit too crowded for me. On the bright side, there is no end to storms in site, so the freshies shoudl be getting perfect by the time all these wankers go back to NoCal. -tim

Reality TV? Now this is a GREAT spray topic.
gapertimmy replied to Rodchester's topic in Climber's Board
I know Jerry also, thats crazy stuff. Does he still work at the 'soft? -
sport climber of the winter scene, thats classic so my question is this... what do you call a tele skier that 90% of the time skis on lift serviced mountains? I've seen a TON of freeheelers on bachy this year, and access to bc turns is right across the road at the formidle tumalo.

we could also make a video of the event and call it SPRAYERS GONE WILD
