I was having a beer in Telluride and this guy suddenly appears and it is Sting. He was in town to by property and build a house I knew cause my friend worked for the architecture firm that was working with him. Anyways, my good buddy, a real joker, blurts out "Hey Look! It's Mick Jagger!" Sting was pissed and left. He ended up not buying a place. The reason he gave the architect was that he didn't like the locals. I served dinner to Jesse Jackson and his family at a small reataurant in south Carolina. My good friend used to date Darryl Hannah and I was at a town park work party with Christy Brinkley. Mojo Nixon kicked me in the head, on purpose, at a Mojo and Skid show in Denver (he apologized between songs and played a request for me) . I know the guys from String Cheese and Leftover Salmon. Everyone I climbed with in Boulder is now famous. And I had Beers with The Jon at the Sausagsefest

Blow me JRCO! When I left Telluride in '95 the season pass there was $980. TLG informs that now it has gone up to $1300. Now I don't see how Vail can be $299 When I lived in Crested Butte, they had a program where you could buy less expensive season passes based on blocking out the hoildays then weekends and so on, which would get less expensive the more limited the days got. Now for $299 at Vail I would guess that you can ski there every Tuesday and Wednesday, every other week, but not on holidays. That said, Vail is one fuckin' big ski area and it would take one awhile to get bored there. The downside is the town sucks Kurt I knew that quip of mine would get your goat but sheesh Colorado ain't that bad. I guess it is so hyped because it gets a lot of dry snow and sun. Let the lemmings luxuriate at their resorts. We all up here have been having a great week and a half of early season powder. and we have permanent snowfields to ski on all summer. Goat Getter

Hey chris, I ski plenty hard and I have never ripped out of my three pins. Plus if I know it is going to be steep and heavy I attach my compression (Hardwire) cables. The G3 and the 02 both have had breakage problems that the Voiles have not. I ski inbounds and out with plastic boots and I ain't no "Grandpa" Read the whole thread next time...

I would only do it in corn or powder. Probably no worries in the pow but I imagine that they would get popped in the corn (no funny intended) Both the Targa and the 02 have had breakage problems that the Voile three pin just has not had.
