The Era of the climbing "bum" is over isn't it?! It is like being in Telluride and seeing these lift ops sporting $2000 goretex and ski ensembles driving a $40,000 suv or truck. You know they are only getting $7 an hour, a pass and maybe lodging.
Hey ScottP, That really sucks!
I got a gift card for the Holidays as well and went to buy a pair of Sabretooths. They of course did not have them in stock so I ordered them at the desk and had them ship them to my house which ended up costing another $15. I wonder why they (and why I let them) feel like they can charge another $10 above the shipping cost ($5)?! Basecamp in B'ham would send me stuff all the time for just the cost of postage. Methinks there is much $$$ to be made on the "handling" charge.
Redoubt my ass. Catering to a "very low common denominator"
I would just hate to see a bunch of ghey climbing tarts acting all poncey and posey, creaming up the joint with their all important "micro beta" panderings you meal mouthed sod
Dude, I'm still not ready to talk about what I think I saw there; in any meaningful sense that is...
You're right 'bout the coordinates tho. Hey Everyone! Nothing to see move right along...
If you are seeking the gentleman on the left in the photo, head towards Aspen, turn off left just before town and curve down and around to the Woody Creek Tavern...
Turn right past the Woody Creek Tavern and it is the second place on the left. It is the low slung cabin with large metal bats in the trees. You better arrive holdin' or you WILL get stomped.
You must be skiing hard in them. If so, I took some insolite pad and sewed velcro onto it and the tongue and slip it in. if you are not skiing hard, tighten the top dood!
What it really means is that you are skiing harder shit and need taller boots
