By the time I hit the bolts up top I was just ready to finish (I had a little mental problem half way up trying to get in a good piece). I didn't think the upper section was too terrible at all though. Endorphines I guess.
I'm ready to go back, but I want some larger shoes first. Those tight little slippers on the hot rock left my feet a little unhappy.
Yeppers. A dirt bag is someone who values riding, climbing, skiing, etc over the so called 'real life'.
I wish I were a real dirt bag, than I'd be able to climb/ride more than I do...
I went to school there too and learned and taught classes in Kootenai. You mean 11th commandment. We didn't get a chance before the sun started to hit that side. Hotter than hell, like 100 plus. I'm going back again in a couple of weeks and I want to get on Flying Time, and 11th. Hopefully it will not be as hot.
Blodgett is closed all summer for Road repair
Montana was sweet. I climbed a few classics in Kootenai that I had last climbed about 12 years ago. Ironmongers and Pleasant Surprise. than across the creek for some shade. Elmo and a bunch of others. Raf G. put up some really nice lines in his day
I just got a call from Missoula.
Big Creek is still closed (south of Kootenai).
Plum Creek Timber closed down all access to their land.
West Glacier is getting hit.
Lost Trail is on fire.
Looks like I'll have a week on Flathead lake instead.
Crap. We're screwed. My buddy was at Kootenai the other day, and I was hoping to get back to Blodgett on this trip too.
Oh well. It'll be a nice ride along the Lochsa anyways.
Not in Erik's case. I think he's thinking of joining the prep band.
I can't make it to Si. I'll be in Montana climbing in the Bitterroots. Unless the canyons get closed down due to fire danger
I played football and Hockey all through High school, as well as some mountaineering, skiing and lots of hash/weed.
In college I skied about 70 days a year and started climbing.
I think that there is just not enough time for team sports once you leave high school.
I used the fig8 for years but switched to the overhand a while back.
One mankey rap- two pins pounded into what looked like wet kitty litter in the desert.
The funnest tourons are those scattered around Devils Tower.
always asking about what it's like up top. I tell them there's a big lake up there and everyone is hanging out having a party.
