Minx, what is the recommended dose of Cialis when the guy has more than one penis? Do you double it for two or triple it for three?

Fairweather, I am exhorting people to be critical of what they read on the Internet and to dig deeper to find the truth. No more, no less. Critical thinking is something which many people lack these days. You demonstrate more than any one person on this site, the inability to think critically and to respect the views of others. The following is a shining example of how you misconstrue the opinions of others: "Guns are evil. War is always bad. Taxes are always good. Crime is a result of poverty. Individuals can't be trusted to make proper choices for themselves...."

The piece does not cite any sources whatsoever, so it is not easy to determine the veracity of any of the statistics quoted in the article. I want to point out that the article is very careful to cite the statistic "violent crime", and not violent crime deaths. If you compare the two between the US and Canada you will find that violent crime deaths, especially by gun, are many times higher in the US than in Canada. The author: "Gary Mauser Professor, Simon Fraser University Gary A. Mauser is a Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration and the Institute for Canadian Urban Research Studies at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Professor Mauser earned his Ph.D. from the University of California at Irvine. He has dual American and Canadian citizenship. He and his wife, Ede Wong, have five children and live in Coquitlam. His interest in firearms and “gun control” grew out of his research in political marketing. He has published two books, Political Marketing, and Manipulating Public Opinion and more than 20 articles. For the past 15 years, Professor Mauser has conducted research on the politics of gun control, the effectiveness of gun control laws, and the use of firearms in self defense. He purchased his first firearm after moving to Canada and conducting research into firearm legislation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of British Columbia Wildlife Federation and the President of Barnet Rifle Club. "

Enjoying Al Franken's book aren't you? It's a good read and all true. There is a special place waiting in hell for Karl Rove.

Before you get too excited, consider the source. The Frasier institute is a business supported neoconservative "think tank" which is the Canadian equivalent of the Cato Institute in the US. I wouldn't be surprised to find that US arms manufacturers are major contributors to Fraser Institute. They don't publicize where they get their funding on their website because they don't want you to know.

If you go there don't try to see how much snow you can drive in. Just park when the ruts get too deep. Dig a place to park and hike. You're there to get excercise anyway. -
They need some way to take down the remaining unstable rock high on the hillside so they can safely get to work on repairs. I wonder if they have considered howitzers? It might take a few shots to get the job done. Another way might be to lower charges on ropes from above. They could use telescopes or helicopters to aid in locating the charges where they are needed.

I have a Marmot Arroyo (1lb, 10 oz). It's nice and light, but not very warm. Marmots reg is 6'-0" and I fit in it even though I am 6'-1". I too would like another bag for below freezing conditions. The Moonstone sounds like it is warmer and only a little heavier, but I'd almost have to go with the long at 2lb, 0 oz.

I am a Bush hater. But I must say that going to Iraq to meet the troops was a good thing. It shows leadership and it is also very good politics. The Dem Pres candidates will keep their mouths shut on this if they know what is good for them.

I don't suppose any of you saw the article that was on the front page of Monday's Seattle Post-Intelligencer? The article had a diagram of a neutrino detector and cited the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory. National Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory

Any worse? It's the same thing. The point is THEY ARE THE ENEMY! What side are you on Dru? During the active combat ortion of the war Saddam's army would have taken out our embedded CNN reporters the first chance they got (not that they did, but they would have). If Al Jazeer is in league with the enemy, we should take them out. Period.

My Dad likes to tell the story of his visit to communist East Germany. They visited a farm. It was early evening and the workers had gone home for the day. The tools were all laying about in the field. The tractor was parked where it was at quitting time instead of being put in the barn. No one owned their own tools so they had no incentive to take care of them.

The military should have said, "Sorry, but we made a mistake. Shit happens in war." The military never admits to mistakes unless you have uncrontrovertible evidence they can't deny.

Certainly, an endorsement of dubious value.

I'm going to ignore everything that came after the original post and comment on that. The question is what should we do about Al-Jazeera? If their coverage of the war is aiding the enemy, then we have a duty to shut them down. If this were peacetime then I would be all for freedom of the press, but as long as our boys are dying, we have to do whatever we can to protect them. If that means shutting down Al-Jazeera, then so be it. The other option is forcing them to comply with an agreement on how they cover news in Iraq.

Good Lord, you are either very unlucky or live in a bad neighborhood. That's got to be pretty hard to take. Bike thieves, car thieves and horse thieves all should be treated the same. Hang 'em high.
