  1. I still have fond memories of the last time Beck attended a Pub Club. It was at the Ballard Alehouse. He got so drunk that when he got on his bike to ride home, he crashed before he even got across the street. A couple of us went out and helped pick him up and send him on his way.

    Liar, you did too fart!
  3. Moon Unit Zappa Byron Peebles Emily Remily
  4. I survived catturdeat (account deleted?) and catturdpee (three posts). I suspect their owners were banned.
  5. Mea Culpa for the thread drift.
  6. How about "plab". That word is still in, isn't it?
  7. That may be so, but they don't work as well.
  8. Brown girl in the ring, tra la-la la-la There? a brown girl in the ring, tra la la la la la Brown girl in the ring, tra la-la la-la She looks like a sugar in a plum, plum plum
  9. No, the reason is that they are more versatile than twins.
  10. I saw a bunch of Cassin camming devices at the Pacific Feather Company sale in November 2004. It was the first time I'd ever seen, let alone heard of Cassin cams. I wasn't very impressed, especially with the larger sizes which struck me as being so narrow as to be unstable.
  11. Surely the rope is under stress, but it is unclear how much strain it is experiencing, or whether, in fact the load is indeed static and not dynamic. The other unknows include whether Dru owns the complete Boney M. music library, and whether photographs exist of him in any of his Boney M. costumes.
  12. I have the same concerns that you have. It seems that the impact force of half ropes keeps decreasing to the point that 2X the impact force is not a lot greater than that of a single rope. I prefer to clip separately unless I have a good reason to do otherwise. I know climbers who almost always clip double, unless the route wanders. The factors that go into the decision whether to clip double or not would include the amount of rope out, and the distance to the nearest ledge that you could hit, and/or run out to the next placement.
  13. It's BRING THE SMACKDOWN. If you're going to try to be all iTough at least get the f'ing words right. Iain, you have to remember which avatar you are using at the moment. Sometimes, it appears you forget.
  14. Some of us have "no-compromise bodies". This explains why some of us have to eat so much to maintain our weight.
  15. Just stating your unbiased opinion.
  16. Exit 32 Pub Club. Those were good times! Wayne1112 was watching that dog, if I remember correctly, and that's dryad trying her best to look distracted.
  17. Paddy Coynes Can't make it this week, but Paddy's sounds pretty cool.
  18. Likewise, it is quite possible to have a completely bomber placement in the yellow range under certain circumstances.
  19. TCU's are on sale in a number of stores and online vendors. If you buy them, start with the #1 (yellow) and #2 (orange).

    Jumbo Eggs

Toad, I feel your pain. I had trouble with raccoons, until I built a really sturdy coop for my chickens using 1/2 inch hardware cloth. Even the floor has hardware cloth under the ground. No troubles since. There is a breed of chickens called Black Giant. We had one once. They are huge- about half again to twice the size of the average chicken. As you might expect, they lay jumbo sized eggs.
  21. You should seriously consider this. You've had more close calls in one year than I'd care to have in a lifetime. Is this your third or fourth serious accident?
  22. The route you did, isn't in Yoder's Second Edition. It looks like an offwidth. The nearest route is F.206'ers M., 5.7.
  23. I went to Pacific Industrial Supply on 4th Avenue South and bought an HIT brand hand swager that can do 1/32, 3/64, and 1/16 swages. It works by squeezing, like pliers, so it is much easier to use than my Nicro Fico tool, which requires wrenches. Cost was only $27. The 3/64" sleeves cost only 12 cents at Pacific versus $1 each for the 1/16" ones I was using from West Marine. This tool is much easier to use for replacing trigger wires. I did two wires in 10 minutes, then I did a complete tune-up on my cams. I cleaned and lubed them and straightened out kinks in the trigger rods. All set now for the climbing season, if it ever stops raining.

    100 Acre Wood

I got my nephew a winnie the pooh stuffed chair. Now he just sits around the house in his poo! Confusius say, man who fart in church, sits in his own pew.
