I've gotten an injury I never expected...think I pulled an ab muscle on lower left. Located almost oposite side of appendix. I had my family doc look at it, and he confirmed that it was not a hernia or likely bowel prob or kidney stone. But it hurts like a sumbitch if I stretch or lift things the wrong way...searing pain. Anybody get something like this before? BTW I think it happened when I resumed weight training after a couple of months off...doing weighted crunch machine. I have been concentrating on training for a marathon, and should have left the weights the hell alone until afterward. I can run w/ some pain, and I'm gonna gut it out for the next month to complete the marathon.

It's true that controversy spurs interest around here, spices things up. When it comes to banning, however, shouldn't there be a little consistency and coolheadedness? When I read a moderator's rant that says he thinks while he's at it he'd like to ban people for pagetops, this reminds me of a hotheaded young manager in an office. You know, the kind of guy that explodes and overreacts so that people tend to avoid him and think he's a jerk. He's not really, he just needs to get more experience and get control of his emotions, and learn to be a little more mildmannered and consistent. Note: This isn't a statement about any particular moderator...I've seen this mode of operation from several. Yeah, it's true that if any of us don't like it here, we can take a hike. But it's also true that if moderators act like poor managers or dour schoolmarms, a bunch of us will lose interest and leave. Maybe that would be a good thing in some people's opinion. I don't think so.

Was it simply to suck up to Jon and Timmy? (Yeah, I agree, they've got a good gig here and it's their right to do whatever they want with it. whether people acknowledge it or not, Spray is the spinal cord of cc.com. And whether people people like it or not, trask is the backbone of spray. trask, I hardly knew ye, you're crass and perverted, but you're my friend! Within a week or two, a whole lot of people will be saying "something's missing..." and they will (in some cases begrudgingly) realize it's trask.

I feel like the guy who knows he missed something big, but I'm not sure what. Shit, my power's been off, and I've beenworking my ass off It seems that once again there has been some 'overspray,' resulting in immoderate moderation...then the usual suspects have been named for banning, etc. You guys can say whatever you want, but Spray keeps this place alive. It IS cc.com, to some extent. There is NOTHING here better than when 4 or 5 threads are humming at once, people are arguing about ethics or technique, and wisecracks are spliced in along with the serious dialog. Go back and look at when Lambone had his epic...a very serious event when it was happening, full of spray. Several good ethics threads...full of spray. The - thread, which was full of spray and therefore held people's interest longer. These come off the top of my head---there are bunches more great threads that were sprayed on, and often enhanced by spray, I say. I've gotten a lot of good info out of this site, and hope to continue to do so. This thing that makes me look at it almost every day is the SPRAY. Otherwise, I'd probably look at it every couple of months.
