  1. Have a set of stoppers and Wild country's. Bd's are much better in my opinion. Wild Country's lack offset taper in the sidways position.
  2. I think Big Bosom Buttes are safe. Anybody hiked up either of those?
  3. We (my friends and me) always have visions of Becky roaring through Concrete on a WWII motorcycle being chased by the police and evading them with massive amounts of smoke from the tail pipe on the way into the mountains. THis article cements that thought.
  4. More votes on the usage fees.
  5. I think that the some of the "non climbing" pictures are funny. They add to the gallery.
  6. I keep all my gear in the back window of my car next to the leaky old battery and my chemistry kit.
  7. Thank you. I really appreciate it. I will have to check those places out.
  8. Does anybody know of any good public places with a good view of the Olympics and the city skyline ? Parks or whatever. I would check it out myself, but I have a limited time in Seattle. Thanks
  9. All Volcanoes from Hood to Baker and Olympus! From Mt Washington on a day above the clouds!.......!!!!!!!!
  10. If anybody wants a detailed map that is marked for the approach to the North Twin email me @ cnppnc@yahoo.com I would post it but I am not really supposed too.
  11. Cool unique idea. This list obviously wasn't thrown together overnight. Lincoln is on the list!
  12. Photo undoctored
  13. You mean like last winter or 98-99. Enough with the panic and complaning about this years snowpack. I Remember last May 1st when it was snowing a little in Bellingham. Was that a 21st century spring?
  14. I'm tired of people telling me the Canadian Mountains visible from Bellingham are in the Rockies. STOP! From "Washington Mountain Ranges" pg. 55 "Washington's top, (NE corner) anchored to the West by the North Cascades, in the East to the Kettles and Selkirks-the Rockies themselves." So maybe this helps.

  18. Some people must learn how to do this on their own because they don't have more experienced friends. This does not mean it can not be learned responsibly. Its not like with a little advice their going up Mt. Deathskull to figure it out on the nth pitch.
  19. Once I was swimming 'cross turtle creek.....
  20. They (NP people) probably are interested in climbing so they go to this site. you know they probably got those jobs because they enjoy the outdoors, not to "spy" on climbers arguing about Islam
  21. is that nick nolte or gary buse(y) in the tie dye whoever it is that is funny
  22. Stick ice ax is great. Used one icey snow on the bros when I was 15, 2X too big duck boots also. Women with hair all over scared us more though.
  23. Mowich rd in a metro. Crux. Stupid road grader sitting idle on the side of the dam road. If they are low on funds I will drive the damned thing-with a lungdart in my hole.
  24. Beer such as Schmidt or Pabst is not bad beer because it is cheap. It is inexpensive, but it is not a bad product. Micros are probably better to most people, but pour a glass of inexpensive beer in a glass, and flush 4$ down the toilet and "cheap" beers can be just as good. Why has no one voted for the finest-Ranier out of the bottle
  25. I dont remember whaT BOOK it was, but it had a story about Scott Fischer and his friend heading into the bush in AK. The two talked about what they were going to do if they ran into an aggressive bear. Scott said they would fight it off with their ice axes. His partner jokingly agreed. They did end up confronting a bear and Scotts partner started to run, he glanced over his shoulder and saw Scott removing his ax from his pack. Cool
