  1. there's a nice pigeon shit jug on Light on the Path too, I got a good sampling. Birds dig the morning glory wall.
  2. right on D.
  3. more yocum, less ewe porn. you wearing a diaper this time on yocum rob or what? if yoc's got the rime, I've got the time.
  4. the sad sad fact of this discussion is that several people were able to call you on the tachyon stuff. but this isn't nearly as bad as the grade-c smut-fest going on between sk, law-goodness-gracious, greg w(esson) and rbw in that other thread I missed today.
  5. Might want to mention that's on the Eliot.
  6. I have the Pinnacle, used it this winter in Oregon down in 10's-30's°F. The typical solid Marmot quality in a sleeping bag. I chose the Pinnacle over the Helium first because it was on sale and second because it has a draft collar which really helps me when it gets cold. Does weigh a tad more though, but it's still nice and light and has room for me to wear all my climbing clothes to just get up and go in the dark and to drop the temp rating down. Marmot does their best work in sleeping bags, IMHO.

    A mystery

indeed, note the rather effeminate t-shirt.

  11. Excellent Dru, excellent. I'm particularly glad to see pow-pow in the mix allison. Plab freshiez make for plab pow-pow on the dark side of the cone and less gapage on the smitty tuffy-tuff.
  12. Well I've left pickets behind in less demanding conditions on less demanding routes than that. Hope you get it this winter, maybe I'll have the guts to give it a go too.
  13. Yeah, I'd figure a week of solid Wx would be needed. I'd be worried about running into a monster cornice problem on BT 11am right at the end. That would be a bummer. Probably another opportunity to leave some picket litter behind though.
  14. Freshiez can kill sometimes.

    A mystery

I maintain that it's cotton candy. dude's just passed out drunk at the county fair. Poison's about to hit the haybale stage next to the all-you-can-drink milk stand.

Is that cotton candy by his head?

  21. One idea (I think Zenolith was considering this last spring, not sure if it was pulled off) was to climb Early Morning Couloir, ski the West Face Right down to the Collier, head up North Ridge of Middle, ski down the South Ridge, head up the North Ridge of South (or the couloirs on the right), ski back down the Prouty, head up the NW ridge of Broken Top, traverse, and ski down 11 'o' clock couloir, exit at Dutchman's. A good early-season pounding. How's that grab ya?
  22. Any idea on the conditions up there right now? I might be up for it.
  23. right on! don't succumb to the snow-bored.
  24. A descent down the standard South route of S. Sister via Green Lakes would work too, though a little less interesting. Not sure if you have climbed S. Ridge of North Sister yet, but one traverse can be quite intimidating for newer mountaineers at times when it gets icy. The bowling alley can be a difficult icy downclimb too, or very straightforward when dry. Have fun.

As evidenced by http://www.dictionary.com , we can see that the definition of irony is quite different from what its above misuse might suggest: irony \I"ron*y\, a. [From Iron.] 1. Made or consisting of iron; partaking of iron; iron; as, irony chains; irony particles. [R.] And the verb form of irony is "to iron". Get it right folks.
