  1. Cheers guys, I think I will error on the heavy, more comfortable side and carry the heavier bag. I,m gonna be in a bivy sack. Thanks for the info. -Hammer-
  2. Yeah, I am going to be up there this coming weekend and am trying to go as light as possible. I want to carry in my 45 degree bag and wear clothes but I am not sure if that will be warm enough. I can shave 3lbs over my 5 degree bag-hence the dilemma.
  3. What's the night time temps been getting down to around Stuart?
  4. If I were to make skis involved, I would increase my danger factor by 10. My thought would be Late June/Early July. I would want the weather to be not a factor.
  5. I want to do a Sisters Marathon next season and was curious to what the typical route used on each mountain is. From What I can see, I would do the NW Ridge of N. Sister descend the S. Ridge to the Saddle of Middle Sister. Descend the SE ridge of middle Sister and traverse over to a nice line I saw on S. Sister(NW Ridge). Come down Prouty Glacier and then do Broken top via the Std. Route. Does this sound feasible. I have no intention in punishing myself trying to do this in 24 hours more like a long 3/4 day weekend.
  6. There was not a hint of snow on the ridge or even remotely close to it.
  7. We did the NW Ridge both up and down from Minnie Scott Springs.
  8. Just did the NE shoulder of Prouty Pinnacle of North Sister last weekend and was wondering what the rating of that route is. Oregon high comments on the fact that it is a scary dinner plate ride when not covered with snow. I'd agree to say the least. Let me know what you think.
