I've felt pretty unsure of myself on solo climbs and I've only soloed more moderate things like reid hw and stuff on hood or the north sister in oregon. I guess I feel more lonely than anything else, just hanging out on steep ice in the dark, in total silence with just the sound of ice tinkling down the gully. Those climbs have been by far some of the most rewarding mountain experiences I've ever had but I can't believe I keep putting myself back in that spot by choice though nice post!
