  1. The Sounders win sometimes, don't they?
  2. You just love that shot because I'm wearing pink.
  3. We did it last year on Memorial Day Weekend, it was just fine. I've heard folks are climbing at Lava Point, which is only a little lower.
  4. I started a video thread in the Rockclimbing forum, lets see everyone's stuff. Is there some setting for video size? It's notably smaller embedded here than it is if you click through to Vimeo's site.
  5. I thought I'd try out the new Vimeo support on this board by posting the slideshow of black & white vintage stuff circa 1976-78 I ran at the Sausagefest a couple years ago. So, technically it's not video since it's just a series of stills with music, but you should crank it up and enjoy a little Hendrix soundtrack. [video:vimeo]4086318 What's everyone else got to show? edit: it's a smaller window here than on Vimeo, I don't know if there is some support thing Porter should tweak or if it's just endemic to embedding...
  6. Right on, I've got a slide show on there that youtube won't accept since it's 13 minutes long...
  7. Sometimes it seems like there's a lot of Eric(k)s around here...

    I love you guys

Whatever gives you a warm fuzzy feeling Trashtart, but I'm kinda feeling like that was a little too well envisioned TMI insight into your upcoming move to Enumclaw. Careful, next thing you know you'll be posting TR's of your sick new proj at Little Si.
  9. Seems I've heard it suggested, only half in jest, that there should be a rap route from the top of the good stuff. There's also a winter route in that area, Tim Wilson & John Wason did it I think.
  10. Mother's day is Sunday... edit: err, I meant for your wife Winter. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I didn't mean your mother...
  11. That's some damn fine work Alasdair, I love the black and white work.
  12. Well, you're in Portland, the city with the most strip joints per capita in the country. I'm from little ol' Tenino and we don't get to see any of that kind of stuff down at The Rotting Stump, nothing more than the ripple in Marge's fleshy bicep when she puts a headlock on Verl for hurling on the bartop again.
  13. Check out the results of this training regimen: [video:youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBWNaJdzovI I'm thinking CC.com should sponsor a team, whaddya say Porter? Oh, FYI, I think it's safe for work, there's no more flesh on display than at the average community swimming pool, and the athleticism is truly stunning.
  14. Oh, make no mistake, I'm planning on checking out the new flick some rainy day soon. I recall bemoaning the fact that the original series was on at 10:00 and I couldn't convince my parents to let me stay up and watch. It's just that when I saw that vid, I immediately thought of Sobo.
  15. I was quoting someone from one of those masterful responses on RC.com, I really liked the way the phrase meant exactly the opposite of what the words said.
  16. Betcha five dollars Sobo looks at this thread! [video:youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx-RbVjtRXA
  17. I'm not calling you a moron Porter, but RC.com is not teh standard
  18. Hitchhiker is in Burdo's new Mazama Rocks guidebook, sort of the update to the old North Cascades guide of his, but this time with photos instead of drawings. It covers all that Mazama cragging (including Goat Wall and a bunch of newer crags) as well as some stuff in the eastern bowl of the Liberty Bell - Silverstar area.
  19. Nice Michael, thanks for giving us a taste from one of our European correspondents!
  20. Of course, it being Texas, the pirates are actually the police and district attorney. [video:youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySjyRpq5tY8
  21. That's a petty good suggestion from Fairweather. Up the Cooper Spur and down the Sunshine is another Hood option. Do beware the two inches of glop on top of hardpack conditions that have contributed to some disasters on the Cooper Spur, making it perhaps not the best choice for an afternoon descent. The convex nature of the ridge can suck the sliding hapless over onto the steeper north face with serious consequences. On Stuart, consider the Sherpa Glacier rather than Cascadian. Friends don't let friends climb the Cascadian.
  22. Yeah Scott, why did you say "fag" when you meant "stupid"?
  23. Nice to see an Olympics TR, thanks a bunch. Looks like a fun day out, I'll remember this one.
  24. Do you guys out there keep your hair so short so the ticks have nowhere to hide? Just wondering because Mattp probably found a half dozen (not embedded yet) over the weekend at Mazama which had us feeling twitchy as hell.
  25. It's a floor wax AND a dessert topping! Looks like you guys got to the saddle you were aiming for. Sunday was a pretty gorgeous day, wasn't it. Huge thanks again to David for hosting this thing for seven (!) years now. It was great to put some names to faces, great bunch of people.
