Thanks for all the input, guys. Gotta send out some props to Todd and crew at Feathered Friends who let us in Saturday evening after they were closed to pick up a pair of Sabertooths clips. Thanks, guys Bad news is the wife bought them as a Christmas present and now she's hidden them Greg W

JEEZ! how long until spring??? Although I am happy to report that I have had alot of help over comming my rope management issues and I am doing much better now (Figger Eight, you know what I am talking about ) Sounds to me like you just need more climbing. Good point, Ray. There is no substitute for just getting out there and placing gear. Personally, I equalized the posts on my deck railing about 10 different ways after reading John Long's books then went out and set up equalized anchors on the ground. After that it seemed to make sense and lots of climbing reinforces it.

quote: Originally posted by COL. But I don't really care as I will climb where ever I like and if you don't like you can all fuck off. Opinions are like assholes, Colonel, everybody has one. On a thread like the banks lake one, you are bound to get varying opinions on when is too early, when is "in", etc. It's part of the forum. Greg W

Sounds like an all-weather destination: doesn't sound like your climb could have sucked much worse in the rain.

Then we could feed all our cold and shivering brethren at the Grasslands! Blue Grouse wouldn't be a bad idea either. We could train Cavey's pup in the process! That would be cool, but I won't be making it. I am planning a winter trip to Smith, so we can hook up then. Greg W

Matt - Yeah, I've waded through enough of Chris's website to figure out that he has logged some serious time up in that area. Have you glassed it from 23rd Psalm or that area? Is DavidW going to include beta on Squire Creek Wall? I know Chris has been trying to keep that area quiet.

I've noticed that when the weather turns bad and people aren't getting their climbing fix the spray ratchets up a notch or two.
