  4. So I've got a plan for transferring my copy to DVD (thanks AlpineDave). When I get it done I can make some copies and mail them out to those that are interested if I get reimbursed for shipping. I'll make a post and let ya'll know when I have that ready to go.
  5. Sweet. Anybody in the Seattle area have a setup for copying VHS onto DVD? I would be happy to pay with beer and a copy of the Yosemite film or maybe sexual favors or something. Lemme know. Come to think of it, I bet Oilyclimber knows how to do it.
  6. Erik, Is this the one of the guys in 197? climbing the nose? Features a humungous aid whipper in the dark while they are stoned? And they haul up a certain frivolous object in their haulbags that is revealed at the end? If so, I've got it on VHS (WTF!?!?) and need to get it transferred to DVD. Speaking of which, anybody have a setup for doing that? Recommendations?
  7. I am sure just your snaffle pasties will be sufficient. OMG! Did I ever show you those things? GUESS WHAT YOU ARE GETTING FOR CHRISTMAS!
  8. I like the giant pack on Jeff in the first picture. Did you make him carry the BBQ up there? Ulee will be ropegunning for us soon.
  9. First ascent by Bryan Becker and Rolf Graage in 1983. Kenton Kool tried to bum food from me at 17K feet after he and Ian Parnell did the second ascent in 2002. Fumitaka Ichimura's team did the third ascent in 2005. I don't even know why Mark and Colin are bothering with the DD; That shit's all climbed out. South Face of Denali with Cassin Ridge in the center. I don't know where the DD route is, but it somewhere on that face to the left of the Cassin.
  10. I've used my mini traxion with good results, though the toothed-cam makes me a little nervous. I imagine taking a dynamic fall with incomplete engagement of the cam resulting in a torn sheath or severed rope. I used Billygoat's "Yates Rocker" and thought it was ideal for solo top-roping. Fed smoother than the minitraxion, no teeth on the cam, very small and inconspicuous. Since then I've kept my eye out for one, but they seem to be hard to find.
  11. Would I have to wear anything revealing?

  13. I turned my filtering off just for fun and page 3 has some interesting items...
  14. Small folding saws work great for getting sod/soil out of cracks. Screwdrivers are good too. A dustmask, goggles, and gloves are also recommended equipment.
  15. 2.9lbs is too heavy for hauling anywhere in my opinion, but this would be a good car-camping bag. REI "Downtime" 20 Degree Down Bag $60 + tax It will show the reduced price when you add it to your cart. Also remember you can have it shipped to any REI store and pick it up there for no shipping charge.
  16. Wait! I think I saw it's tail flinch!
  17. Maybe. What did you climb? Pics?
  18. All of you wankers should shut the fuck up and go climbing.
  19. I have a question. Is that video that kicked off this thread real? (and no I don't mean the ninja chimp vid).
  20. There should be no mystery about this. Very few people that post on this website can climb 5.12 cracks and therefore have little to say about issues relating to them. They prefer to stay out of the conversation and let the "big dogs" have their chat. I would like to see a picture of this climb though. Anyone? OK. Back to the porch for me. You big dogs carry on.
  21. I'd give it a thumbs down on fit. I'm a pretty skinny guy and this jacket is designed to go over all your layers, so I understand it would be a little "blousey", but this thing fits like a garbage bag. The shell fabric is prone to getting snagged on stuff too. I like most patagonia stuff I've tried, but in this case I have to give a thumbs down. It is pretty warm and has good pockets and comes with a stuff sack which is nice. I'd prefer it stuffed into one of its own pockets though so I don't have to keep track of a stuff sack. Does the Montbell jacket do that? I love montbell stuff. Maybe time to upgrade. Anybody wanna buy a MicroPuff?
  22. This awesome route is still awaiting a third ascent, although it has been skied and "snoskated". GITTERDUN!
