Well, initially I was thinking of a modified pub crawl, where we only visited one or two establishments a night or something like that (for those of us who have to work the next day), but now that you guys have gotten all psyched about a "REAL" pub crawl... NO "Planning" just do it! Just call it! After it's called, it's not up for discusssion. If you don't like the place, go somewhere else and write your own report. I do not want this turn into a mini-pub club, that we all bicker and whine about. That is not what this is about, this is for information gathering purposes.

So do we still have the "calender" available or did that go away in the upgrade? If so, we can put some meeting places up a week or so in advance, no strong-arm-ing, and such, just show up if you have nothing better to do. The person who schedules it should of course show, and write a review. This is not just a reason to drink large quantities, it is a research project. It can even be something like meeting up after climbing. We don't care, we are just looking for info, so that there is not a repeat of the Pig and Whistle...

Pub crawl... this sounds like a good challenge, not for the meek of heart, for the few, the proud, the climbers of cc.com... Should be done on a different night than PC, with a smaller group, travelling inconito, without jagged edge down coats, full shank boots, etc... we will rate the pubs for: Cost of beer Pitchers available (yes/no) Cost of food how late the kitchen stays open Space available (pictures hopefully) layout happy hour? number of bathrooms smokeyness tree hugger, tofu, and yuppie factor meat market factor other things... anyone... ideas... volunteers...

TR: It was a good turnout, pictures to follow, BUT Yes, it is SMOKEY... I had to shower and hang my clothes outside as soon as I got home... AND: The set up is not conducive to a group discussion, as the table set up is in one long table with booths on one side and chairs on the other. SO, either you have to yell to the other end, or go and chat, ending up in little groups. Not the ideal. (and makes going to the bathroom hard, must part the seas of not only people, but tables...) I get the idea that PC is a place to chat and hang with our climbing friends, and this set up did not make that happen... SO, although we had good turnout, I don't think I will attend one at AL's again... sorry... I give it two

I am up with that March 4th idea!! We can take over the downstairs, play pool, darts, and convince the owner to give us happy hour deals all night...

I have a friend who takes his dogs along with us often, and occasionally they get bloody paws, and leave red spots all over the snow. It seems to bother the humans a lot more than the dogs - the dogs usually aren't even aware of it. Dog are decended from wild creatures, in the wild, showing pain shows weakness. WE as humans can not be sure if our animal friends are feeling pain, because if they show it, they certainly don't whine the way we do... Doggy boots were developed for a reason. Blood means injury to protective surface of pad, means pain, means possiblity for infection... Clue!??!?

Uh, we've seen Dwayner and Lisa at Seattle Pub Clubs, too... what's your point. I think we just all use pub club as an excuse to bail on things and get together and shoot the shit... Since when is it getting so serious and official... (speaking as someone who was accused of trying to strongarm a pub club a long time ago due to my XX chrom's) So some can make it to some and others can't make it to others... No big thing, they are every week, no need to get all up in arms about things... I've had a great time at every one I've attended... Flame on Crazyjz, as I assume you will...
