get some of the alcohol based anti-nasty-hand stuff from the grocery store and put it on your feet before you hike and I'll bet your feet don't stink afterwards. I use the stuff and my feet smell like roses no matter how many days in the socks. it's amazing. Okay, truth be told I use the anti everything that we have in the operating room, but the active ingredient is still alchohol, but it has some stuff that make it's effects last longer. its fungi that make the smell. Maybe just a mild case, but sorry, that's the smelly smell. I didn't want to admit it for years, but now that it's gone, even a 12 hr shift in 2 day old socks can't make my feet smell....

TLG, what size are your feet? my koflacs are 5.5 or 6...

I don't really use my battery "that much" in the first place, It's almost always plugged in to something, computer, wall, cigarette lighter (that's what they are there for right?) The only time I don't use it that way is running. I've gotten 12 hrs of music out of it before it shut me down (not plugged in), this is pretty good in my book. I can see how on a camping trip it could be a bummer, but I guess that is where the belkin auxiliary battery pack that takes regular batteries comes in. it gets in my book. My one recommendation, get the biggest you can affored, you'd be surprised how much music you really have. I've filled up my 10 g easily.

Hmm... I think some people were hoping for something a bit sooner, and something not on a PC night. We can always plan the May 4 thing as well, as a real PC event. Woodland park has some really nice spots, and on the weekday evenings, my experience has been that they are rather empty.

No worries snoboy, I have not intention of becoming beckster-ette... If we are aiming for Smith after the 4th, and leavenworth in the fall, why not Exit 32 for the spring rope up? It's close (to us seattlites) and we can take over the crag
