  4. Fall floods hamper summer hiking Six miles of the Mountain Loop Highway -- a popular hiking destination and back road between Darrington and Granite Falls -- will remain closed this summer because of October's flood damage. * Read the full article at: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/167947_nsecondary07.html

  11. We were going to ski Earl peak yesterday but at 4:45 AM I got a call saying it was too warm and we were going to Static Point instead. Mark and chucK showed up at my place about 5:30 and we hit the road. About 5 blocks away I discovered I didn't have my walet. Went back for it, found it on the sidewalk. On the way up Mark insisted we turn arouund 'cause he forgot his chalk bag. As we were getting out bikes together Mark relised he forgot his lunch! chucK gave him his breakfast that he didn't eat. Passed 2 other guys hiking in. Spur road in good shape but needs chainsaw. Lots of blow down on the trail. Needs a work party to clean it up. Am willing to help out, let me know. We did Lost Charms. The 1/4" button head under the Great Flake is scarry. We were moving slow as it was the first tiime one real rock this season for all of us. One other party on On Line otherwise we had the place to ourself. No snow and no drips on the rock. Part way down the trail I asked Mark if he had left the axe befind, turns out he had. I cleared blow down while he ran back and got it. A great day, shure is nice to be back on real rock. I'll have to get used to the runots again.

  15. After the smoking ban went into efect in NYC tax revenues from bars and restraunts went UP! Seems as if more people are hanging out at bars now that they won't smell like shit when they leave. I don't mind a bit of smoke, It's the lingering smell that I hate.
  16. I think those big groups that go there should pitch in and rent a Porta Poty or help Skagit County build a bathroom up there. Closest johns are 1/3 mile north of the road to the top at the lake.
  17. Try the state parks website. I seem to remember May 15.
  18. Good ones. My boss hid my bicycle and left some POS kids bike that he found in the weeds out back in it's place. Last year my coworker put a "shitty driver" bumper sticker on the bosses car. He didn't notice it for days!

  21. I heard that that the conglomerates that own the big record companies make more money selling things with cd burners in them than they do off the record companies.
