  4. Fellas, I never implied that she was a scoundrel. I do however find it disturbing that she 'accepted' this dubious achievement award. No spine or personal convictions , if you ask me.

I'm tired of paying for new prisons and feeding the dregs of society Pass a constitutional amendment saying that when our prisons are filled up we take the top 10% of the most serious offenders and execute them (murderers, rapists, and other sexual predators first of course). Fill it up again, execute top 10%....continue process. A few things are certain: 1. We will be more free. 2. Crime WILL go down. 3. It's unlikely we will ever need to construct another prison. Oh BTW, convicted pedophiles should be executed within days of the final verdict.
  6. Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence? Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons in the revolutionary army, another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the revolutionary war. They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. What kind of men were they? Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners, men of means, well educated. But they signed the declaration of independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured. Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags. Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward. Vandals or soldiers or both, looted the properties of Ellery, Clymer, Hall, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton. At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. The owner quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt. Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months. John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his grist mill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a broken heart. Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates. Such were the stories and sacrifices of the America Revolution. These were not wild eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more.   8. I am so tired of seeing and hearing Rosie's shrill, obnoxious voice everywhere in the universe. Stupid agenda-pushing bitch. One day I had the misfortune of changing the channel when I caught a glimpse of her show. On it she had that cranky old hag from the million mom march promoting her anti-gun propaganda. Rosie spent a full five minutes talking about this bullshit! I could literally feel a brain tumor growing because of how stupid she is. I had to go outside and chisel my eyes out just so I could forget her bullshit. I don't understand this whole gun control thing. I mean, if guns were suddenly banned, then people would start killing each other with chainsaws and sand blasters. At least that's what I'd use (a sand blaster). Or a disk grinder. Doesn't anybody care about the criminals anymore? What are they going to rob with? They have it hard enough as it is, they don't need some stupid hag making it harder to buy guns. Guns make everything better. Take a car for example: normally it's stupid. Add some guns to the roof and you have a badass machine. Someone cuts you off? No problem--blow them the hell off the road. If they don't like it, tell them tough-shit. It's a perfect plan. I call it the "get the hell out of my way" plan. It'll never happen if that agenda-pushing bitch Rosie gets her way. - Maddox
  9. Am I the only person who is outraged that Jessica Lynch is being touted as a hero by the media and the Army has awarded her a Bronze Star and given her a ride home in a Blackhawk helicopter? I know the Army has a long history of handing out medals like they were Halloween candy, but what did Jessica Lynch do that was heroic or even meritorious enough to warrant a Bronze Star? As far as I can tell, here are the facts: 1) Her unit took a wrong turn and drove into an ambush. Nothing heroic or meritorious here. 2) The vehicle she was riding in crashed into another vehicle, severely injuring her. Nothing heroic or meritorious here. 3) She was captured and taken to a hospital. Nothing heroic or meritorious here. 4) She was rescued by elite U.S. forces. The only thing here that may be construed as heroic or meritorious are the actions of the rescue force, not Jessica. Oh wait! I get it now! Army service members must have lower standards than other service members to be awarded the same medals. I mean, if I remember correctly, Douglas MacArthur received a Congressional Medal of Honor just for hiding out in a bomb shelter on Correigidor for a few weeks. So following that logic, a woman in the Army just has to get captured to be awarded the Bronze Star. Imagine that; in the Army you can get a medal for heroism or meritorious service if you surrender to the enemy. Isn't that special. No, I'm not Army bashing, but in this case the Army appears to have its head up its ass.

  16. This foolish talk about reparations for slavery would be funny if it were not evidence of disastrous historical ignorance. Slavery is a natural course of human events from as far back as we have any record. If you are not going to kill all the losers on the spot, you put them to work. Somebody has got to chop the wood and draw the water, and that is generally what losers do. If we suggest that somebody today should pay somebody else for something that other people did in times long past, we might suggest that the Romans pay the Algerians, the Aztec pay the Maya, the Arabs pay the Berbers, the English pay the Irish, the Norwegians pay the Russians, the Russians pay the Cossacks, the Mohawks pay the Pequots, and so on and on and on. American Negro chattel slavery, which was just one form of the "peculiar institution," was abolished a century and a half ago, in case Al Sharpton has not heard. It would not be surprising to learn that some of Al Sharpton's ancestors did a bit of buying and selling on their own. Unfortunately there is no law against being ridiculous.

    Remember Greg, practical shooting in training and practice should always involve a certain amount of work from automobiles, both stationary and moving. A lot of pistol action (including one of my own) is of this sort, and it should not be overlooked in training. This has always been taught in Latin America, and also here at Gunsite and Thunder Ranch. It should not be ignored simply because it is difficult to conduct. So you best get busy with your drills.

If our Constitution did not forbid "cruel and unusual punishment," we would resurrect the exemplary British act of "hanging in irons," in which the subject is hoisted aloft in a snug-fitting network of iron straps and permitted to perish of thirst or exposure, whatever comes first.
