  1. Hmmm, errrrr, looked to me like the math within those links (good info there ...) showed all sling to sling, especially of very dissimilar diameters, attachments to be weaker that those made with a connecting carabiner ... Could be the RPN ...
  2. Revivex! Nikwax wears so quickly.
  3. Garmin Vista HCx - I can get a lock in heavy canopy, steep canyon's, even in my damn cubicle . . . Awesome!
  4. YES! Air Tech Racing with a Grivel third tool . . . Perfect combo for the odd pin or picket poundin' . . .
  5. I was an early Leki user and yes, twisting was always a pain. BD was the obvious answer and I have been very happy - went through three sets of Expeditions. Yes, I have had some sections bend, and they do not repair well if at all, but these instances were under pretty heavy abuse and BD offers repair/replacement options. I just bought a new pair of the BD Carbon Fiber Elliptical . . . CF upper section with lower two sections elliptical Al. Spendy @ $150 but man these things are light and the elliptical shafts should stand up to some heavy torques.
  6. Actually . . . weighs 3lbs 15oz, 3lbs 6oz without the lid - 1800ci/30L might only be just double or less your need - and so svelte . . . A good option on a longer day as you can use it to pack in the rack and reasonably wear it on the stone. Though granted - not the best second pack right out of the car . . . You have gotten lots of good ideas. Got mine on sale but yeah - $360 is steep.
  7. Fully compressed WT Andinista . . . !
  8. Climbing's demographics . . . I have met so many folks lately that ask "What KIND of climber are you?" Trad, Rat, etc. - I love to quip with "I AM A CLIMBER!" I digress - Thieves suck -sorry to hear you got burned . . .
