You're right, it was the 2010 State of the Union speech. Are you telling me that you didn't find it shocking that a sitting president saw fit to "call out" members of the Supreme Court face-to-face and in public regarding the Citizens United case? Really? These were the actions of a thug--not a president.
-
Yes, seeing your president breach protocol regarding separation of powers at his 2009 State of the Union speech was a real treat. Reminded me of the fragile partition which separates us (not you) from thugs.

All of the above suggestions are valid, but miss the point. Don't look at college as a meal ticket, rather, look at it as that big mountain you always wanted to climb. What you'll learn there has intrinsic value that stands far above any fears you may have of becoming just another cog in the machine. Take an interdisciplinary approach going in and spend your summers in the mountains around here--or even Alaska or Canada. There's no shortage of adventure to be had nearby. Anyway, hope you work it out. Good luck.

Less so, I'm sure, unless "Loser Stain-Thought Smudge" could be considered a positive contribution. Speaking of shit-stains, are you still sportin' that goatee?

Stay in school. Odds are, the one year off you're contemplating will turn into two, five, ten, and so on. No matter how much fun you have, or how much life experience you accrue dirt bagging, you'll still have that insidious, nagging cloud over your head. Patagonia will wait--and taste even sweeter when you finally arrive.
-
Perhaps you should start your own thread for your groupies to pic a new sig line for you. Um, no. That would be downright narcissistic.
-
Less so, I'm sure, unless "Loser Stain-Thought Smudge" could be considered a positive contribution. For someone who claims to have me on ignore, you seem more than a bit...obsessed. :kisss:

My own little set of groupies. I like it. Fear not, small ones; I shall render an opinion on this matter soon.
-
So just for curiosity's sake, who were you before the switch? Nevermind, figured it out. I have all the spice I need. Muad'Dib!! My real name is B.V.Harkonnen.

Anyway, I want to hear more about this Dem revolt. Who you guys gonna vote for now? Hillary? Nader? Kucinich? Who's yer daddy? You guys are pathetic.
-
Hmm - seem to remember something about being a chief technical officer of some concern or another and making enough money to quit working and "do whatever the fuck I want" being bandied about some time ago - but I don't care enough to bother searching for the said claims. You are correct Jay. Yep. Dem hippo par for the course.

I know there's no way someone as smart as you claim to be doesn't know how to say no or properly use the word know in a sentence. This is in no way meant to disparage what you may know about the word no. I have no doubt you know what the word no means--hearing it as often as you do. It's just too bad you don't know as much as you pretend to know.

Yes, our elected representatives need to knock off this compromise shit and get back to ideological purity. Americans voted for gridlock last November, and that's what we expect. Hell, at this point I'd even consider a vote for Ms. Rodham. (Although she is looking a bit tired these days.)

Looks like that first joint Ivan handed you a while back has really taken hold.

I'd wager yours are genetic. My money's on DRD4. But, then again, it could be just plain old dumb.

Better to be an asshole than TTK's lap dog.
-
You can always count on a wannabe science-guy dropout to show everyone the big picture, eh TTK? Me, a genius? Um, no. But certainly smarter than you.
-
Not sure how you come to this conclusion, but I'm well aware of the intentional and unintentional genocide that took place here and, in an even more pronounced way, the Caribbean and Central/South America. I'm not sure this even comes close to Mao's Cultural Revolution tally--if dead bodies is your metric. In any event, I have studied Chinese history (as well as Japanese, and Korean, and Vietnamese, and Micro/Mela/Polynesian, and Mexican, and South American, European and, oh yes, American) and I don't really view China as a threat to anyone--other than its own citizens. IMO, they've spent the last 600 years trying to atone for the Xuande Emperor's burning of Zeng He's fleet--and they're almost there. But I get annoyed when tools like TTK et al start singing the praises of the new China and inferring it is a model worthy of emulation. It clearly isn't--at least not yet. Oh yeah, three more things: 'Tard' is shorthand for "libtard" and is a spray-universal term of endearment. Please avoid citing Bible verses when trying to make a point. Learn to spell, for God's sake!

LOL Ivan! I suspect that Steve has forgotten more about China than you've ever learned or ever will learn Fairweather. Why you so openly lay out your ignorance, stupidity and prejudices about someone you know NOTHING about is astounding. So I'll clue you in, you are talking to an expert on that country. It doesn't mean he knows everything about the country, just that he most likely knows more than anyone else who posts on this site. Possibly as much as anyone outside of the CIA knows. It's his business to know. Your insults to him only shows your own stupidity. You should apologize to him immediately. Why would I apologize to someone who defends a government that institutionalizes abominations like the ones I posted--and then threatens me with physical violence for daring to question the glowing praise that same government regularly receives on this site? And to then suggest anyone who doesn't speak Chinese has no business commenting on the government there; well, that's just plain stupid. I don't know your friend--and I'm sure he's a nice guy--but he needs to step off his high horse. If he wants to educate, then he should educate. If he wants to refute my assertions about the nature of the government there then he should do so. Some people are a little more than willing to overlook the huge downside to the Chinese economic miracle--the same people who think 300mph trains somehow make up for lost liberty.
-
Um, he's a time traveler, Crux. Don't you get it? And unless you can say it in Chinese, you have no business questioning this fine man of the world.
-
Tough guy tard. I Love it! Not sure what your business is/was in the PRC, or why you feel the need to boast about your travels in this forum. Lots of folks have been to China--it's no big deal. You speak Chinese? Congrats. I speak Spanish and a fair amount of German. Nobody cares. In any event, I can assure you that touring with a group of your fellow whities and a government liaison in a micro-bus or a cobalt-blue Landcruiser doesn't amount to squat vis-a-vis your earlier 'spoon-fed' comments. Fuck off. BTW: Do you speak Bod Skad? http://friendsoftibet.org/main/execution.html
