I thought Twights' book was great , but this is where he left off. We will only realize sooner or perhaps later that this work is among the classics of our very interesting age . While in it , it is difficult to be conscious of what we are part of. This is a Golden Age thesis, in our time, of our own brand, about this sport

As a career Union Professional for all of my adult life . I may have a small insight for what may happen here. In my field there is no hiding . The pay is good but if you dont measure up you are gone. It is a free market. It doesnt apply when companies move to areas that dont care about such issues as heath insurance, living wage and a decent retirement. Th companies will win in the end I am afraid. Their poison will get to us all. Until then > The Unions are our only hope against their well organize march to enslavement

Just to clarify, You are taking a kayak or an inner-tube, on a Picket cross-country type route, or Traverse? What is the start point of your adventure? The river looks tame-ish for the first 5-10 miles, though expect many downed trees, shallows , brush and it will be very low water table. Please tell more of your plans, Thanks!
