Because Prole has proven himself, time and again, to be both.

    SIFF

I was reading through the synopsis list of SIFF films and found an entry entitled North Face which at first would seem to be a film about a yuppy urban wear company, but in actuality is a film based on the 1936 Hinterstoisser/Kurz/Angerer/Rainer attempt on the Eiger Nordwand. Venues are Cinerama and Admiral theaters.

I got what I expected; sincere posts from the adults and potty humor from the tykes. I merely noted that Prole is a fag.

BTW, an insincere thanks goes to you, Prole, for gracing this thread with what I can only imagine is the number one choice from your private collection. I assumed the moniker "Prole" was a reference to a member of the working class , but I now see that it as an abbreviation of "parole", which explains your choice of eye candy.

I was dreading this project because of past experiences with lame contractors, some of whom I've worked for and felt bad about the way they treated their clients. The funny thing Mark is that when we sat down and talked, Myron was pretty up front about not liking the painting part of the job. Like you say, other contractors hemmed and hawed when I let it be known that I was interested in doing finish work myself to save money. They stated that they didn't want their name on an unfinished product. Myron had no problem with this to the point that the office space is currently paint-ready drywall with a bare concrete floor. Myron is a good guy who will do what it takes to get you what you want. The two references I met with, and viewed Myron's work before I signed a contract with him, said just that and the work he did on their houses was impressive. Times are tough and guys like Myron deserve to get the work that's out there. Post script... Something I forgot to mention is that Myron works on only one job at a time, with some minor overlap at the beginning and end of the current job. The current job is the priority.

The remodel included a 10x12 extension of a dining area, a 10x20 office and a doubling in size of an existing bedroom to make a new master bedroom over the office and existing family room with a master bath that extends out over the garage. There were also many other small additions to the existing structure. Pictures are here.

A fairly extensive remodeling project was just completed on my house and the general contractor did such a good job that I want to get his name out to as many people as possible. His name is Myron and his company is called M.O. Construction. His bid came in about mid-range in the various prices that came out of the bidding process. His time projection was spot on, which wasn't a surprise considering that he began work early October and worked steadily through the winter to finish up within the timeframe he projected. He and his apprentice were here promptly at 8:00 am every work day, with the exception of the really heavy snow days when they couldn't get from Ballard to Brier, and including multiple days when the temperature was in the 18-22 degree F range and days when it was raining steadily. Myron spoke with me about all phases of the project along the way on a daily basis. At the end, there was no punch list because he knew about, and took care of everything before declaring the work completed. He did a lot of little things gratis, including fixing a rafter tip that had been snapped by roofers 10 years ago who stood on it and then refused to fix it when I asked them to. Besides being the epitome of a good tradesman, Myron is a truly nice guy. If you, or anyone you know, needs some work done on your house, you would not regret hiring Myron.
  8. I like the sound of thinly-veiled despair as the camera pans toward the top (with the upper half still to go) at the end of that clip.

  10. Rob Cobb and I were doing a traverse of Madsen's Ledge on the upper town wall at Index when Rob turned a corner and startled a nesting falcon that then proceeded to dive bomb him until he had backed away from the nest. That was only a couple hundred feet off the ground and we had no idea the falcon was there so I can see why a falcon on the upper reaches of Snow Creek Wall wouldn't be obvious.

    Hard Men

The top pic looks like Harding has a big shoulder pad over his right shoulder (standing next to a hemp rope). Mark Powell's right shoulder looks shredded. In the bottom pic it looks like Warren's got some sort of plastic crotch protector rigged up. Imagine doing all the rappells they did with just a dulfersitz rig. Here's the supertopo thread with more images... http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.html?topic_id=642195
