  2. quote: Originally posted by Dru: I saw John Miller pick up Lillooet girls in "Mugs and Jugs" and he was wearing a mumu! Whats your point Cavey?? That is where i got mine too. I was agreeing with you stoner
  3. Chain link steering wheel.
  4. quote: Originally posted by plexus: One of the most difficult climb I ever did was a two-pitch mossfest 5.5 at Mount Erie with sketchy pro, long runouts and thorny rosebushes. It was rated in the 70s so obviously the top-end has changed and so have the ratings. Dirt is hard! As I mentioned before.....
  5. Dont forget your fuzy dice and curb feelers. Might want to get some strobe lights too. Are the windows tinted?
  6. It's all 5.8 until you fall
  7. quote: Originally posted by sexual chocolate: What do you mean, "you get what you pay for"? Are these not good boots for what I want them for? And what would you recommend? They are good boots. What are you using them for? To say something like McKinley or that sort well then I would not know... You should be a little more descriptive.
  8. I get chix in Lillooet too when I wear my Koflachs in to the Legion, Reynolds and elsewhere. Conrad definitely is telling us something
  9. Good prices. Koflach boots worked good for me but I am not the most proficient ice climber or mountaineer. I have friends that like Asolo boots too. Dan is right.
  10. A truthful response now (I will try anyways ) Index and Tieton seem to be pretty much right on most of the time.
  11. I was just bsing about my entire list there SC. But if you wanted to rate it that then so be it.
  12. quote: Originally posted by willstrickland: Fair enough, originally given 5.8 I might be confused, but I'd swear I've seen that given 5.9 somewhere. There's really only five or six ratings anyway: 5.easy, 5.hard, 5.awkward, 5.fun, 5.dirty, 5.scary.... To be truthfull it really is 5.9 if you asked my opinion. I was just bsing.
  13. Once If Ed Cooper and T.M. Herbert say it is 5.8 then so be it Also some other climbs in mind. Princely Ambitions 5.8 as well as Mambo Jambo, the chimney on Town Crier, Inca Roads. Oh yeah and that chimney on the south face of Prusik (Beckey) is 5.7 too. You know the one that has no pro in it The last 15 foot thin hands pitch is 5.8 too. Great rock climbs! 14. Was chillin last night watching the ever so cool Cartoon Network. I always like to watch Johnny Bravo and Samurai Jack. Does anyone else like Samurai Jack? That cartoon is crazy and is definitely made for adults
  15. I have never been to Mammoth Lakes area to ski but heard it is stellar so besides that up near Tahoe: Sierra at Tahoe, Heavenly, Sugar Bowl, Mt Rose and Alpine Meadows are all good homes to powder. You need to check and make sure there is a good base though. I would suggest in late January time frame is the best time to visit. They are pretty darn expensive though. I believed Sugar Bowl and Mt Rose have the best deals out og the lot. WeRdUpYo! [ 11-05-2001: Message edited by: Cpt.Caveman ]
  16. The ratings are only right when I say they are. Damnation Crack, and Godzilla are 5.8 and so is Outer Space.
  17. Does anyone have anything left over from halloween that might suit my new helmet style?
  18. I'm thinking about installing a shark fin on top of my helmet this winter. Route shark! Yeah I gave that dude a set of good snow shoes and about 60$ worth of gear as reward. I still lost a crampon and ski pole and some other minor things though.
  19. quote: Originally posted by mikeadam: I agree. It's also a good chance to discuss some things like how hard would it be to get a portion of our "involuntary fee demo" money shifted over to the support the NW Avalanche Center which I would support. No doubt man talk about putting money like that to proper use. Back to the actual backcountry users.
  20. I am exploring the possibilities of home brewing these days. Keeping a few kegs around the home next to my bed and the couch on ice sounds convenient. That way I don't have to drag the knuckles as much
  21. Why doesn't Whittaker narrate this himself? I would enjoy it more if the person that was actually there was hosting his own show. Who is this Angela Hawes lady?
  22. quote: Originally posted by Retrosaurus: That would be awesome. Then you would never have to develop good technique. Exactly because I posses zero technique whatsoever. I thrash and bash my way to the tops of climbs and peaks. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you need good technique to climb 5.9 or WI3-4 A good amount of perserverence will take you a long way
  23. See you there bum By 8pm I should be needing a wheelchair to get around!
  24. Nope you got a fine selection of Rouge Ales. It is good stuff: http://www.rogueales.com/beers.htm http://www.nwbrewpage.com/wabpubs/Issaquah.html
  25. Handicapps' climbing stuff is definitely ispiring. I dont doubt or want to discredit this dude's accomplishment or anoyone else's. It's killer if you ask me. I wish I could get some of that North Face money though heheheh
