Exactly. I got shot at in Somalia. Those fuckers were not friendly. THey killed each other regularly too. I dont have the time nor do I desire to list the details or experiences here. It's easy to talk smack when you are sitting behind that computer about what you might do or what you think people are doing in these 3rd world countries. Or even what the government should do. I was wanting to enlighten you people that you don't know how it is to be rioted on, shot at, feeling of being mortared on, unknown feeling if your vehicle will be hit in the next convoy.. unless you have been there. So it is easy to sit behind your computer and criticize but I dont see any proposals about how others might go about reacting to the death of thousands of lives lost. I just see a bunch of people whining and complaining about what is not to their standard or liking.

So clearly prior military service isn’t a prerequisite to join the fun. No it does not invalidate anyone's opinion. Just confirming that you have not served your country in military service.. Ice fest info follows. I mailed TeamLilloet today and await a response that I will post: The Lillooet Ice Climbing Festival The Fest is a GO for 2002 and will be directed by Team Lillooet, a local business/ tourism advocacy group. I've willing passed along the event to the group, and particularly Paul Malkinson (Melvin's on Main Guesthouse). They're keen to build on the 2001 event and have my full support. The event is scheduled for January 18th to the 20th, 2002, and all information can be gleaned from Paul at TeamLillooet@lillonet.org. It's my understanding they will have a website soon. I hope to help Paul and Team Lillooet where I can, esp. in regards to contacts. However, I'm more inclined to climb that weekend, maybe take a clinic and relax this year. Please don't hesitate to contact Paul if you've got an idea/ proposal/ sponsorship/ donation for the 2002 event! It's above 5.8 cuz I fell It might be 5.9 for some time too (everything that I cannot climb gets the 5.9 rating) Yeah I used the no hands and still no love. I need training.

I don't see any other solutions to a govt that supports\harbors terrorist of this magnitude and infamy and does not understand anything but bombs and destruction of their home. I don't know how many times you have been shot at when serving overseas in the military Alpine Tom but my guess is zero. I have not been to Afghanistan but I have been overseas and seen first hand how some of these types can act. My former roomdog was injured with shrapnel in his eye and face in '93 from a large explosion. I was shot at time to time and vehicles inside convoys that I was part of were mined and destroyed by remote detonation. These were acts of people trained by terrorist cells, hirees from the middle east. They even trained snipers that killed americans there too. People with nothing to live for and nothing to loose and that posses these "I will sacrifice my life for Terrorism in the US" attitudes are not to be taken lightly. Not even force and immediate actions will make them understand. You must eliminate them or put them behind bars. Unless you want one of them to blow up your house next. I sure don't.What do you propose Alpine Tom? Anger Management classes for them?

Brining this one up again. Finally climbed "You get what you deserve" yesterday. Supposedly 10b OW at Little Si. I can't see why they bolted it first. Also no way is it .10b! If you like OW this one is short and good. Probably the true rating is around 5.9. Easier than Damnation Crack and the close by Mambo Jambo.... No I am not sandbagging either

I have never had such confrontations. I was curious to where they happened. I have been to the Reynolds, Mugs and Jugs etc and not seen the 'tude. But I do believe it exists. Oh well. I'll consider myself warned and be prepared. Maybe the Americans should swarm the areas in posse like groups? Cell Phone Posse? Safety in numbers. Their is not anything but loggers railroad people etc up there in the winter. Either you are a ice climber or hockey player. I don't understand their thinking. What harm could ice climbers do? They drink pass out spend money and stare at icicles all day

Maybe you guys should tell me the names of the establishments so I can avoid them........
