EVENT: Mediocre Sprayer Chest Beats About Climbing
Cpt.Caveman replied to Dru's topic in Climber's Board
Make sure there are big runouts in the photos and stories of epics. I prefer those the most. Snootli Express and then some. -
That's ok Greg he's still a greenhorn for that range and the Stuart Range (me too). At least you summited monument The cloud of smoke was not large enought to distinguish when you already have more smoke clouds in your face [ 10-29-2002, 05:41 PM: Message edited by: Cpt.Caveman ]

In a pile of rubble \ talus I slung a big ass boulder this summer. If my partner would have fallen I would likely have had to take all the weight with my body instead of getting dragged down the 1500 foot face. The terrain was technically "easy" but the rubble was dangerous.....

TR: Observation Rock/High Caliber Rifles
Cpt.Caveman replied to COL._Von_Spanker's topic in Mount Rainier NP
I've seen some scruffy lookin rednex illegally hunting along the road in the winter..... I acted like they didn't exist and skied past them. Dirtbags would get their faces smashed in if they didn't have the deer rifles. Oh well -

quote: Originally posted by fern: it looks like ice ... how come it's called Observation ROCK?? is it like the edge of a glacier or something? looks like a way to spend a day. It's a nice day climb. The actual Peak\formation is called Observation Rock. It sits right below the Ptarmigan Ridge of Rainier. Great views. On the note did Lawgodess and Col Von Spankherbutt climb it or what
