  1. Mattp - Who climbed it? When? I have never heard any of the obvious runnels had been climbed. From a PM sent by Alex, he is of the same opinion.
  2. Two straight months of budget surplus. First January surplus since 1992!
  3. Marylou - The link contains an ".)" at the end which needs to be removed.
  4. Jay - The layout on the link is goofy. The temps are for the location of the attached photo which happens to be pretty close to the route you mention.

  10. Last time I climbed in Squamish was in February of 1993. Both days we were there it was cloudy and we felt a few drops of rain. We climbed Sunblessed (the only wet spot was the to of the last pitch) and a bunch of routes in the Bluffs. The only one I can remember was Penny Lane and TR’ing Crime. We became hopelessly lost trying to find Sunblessed on day one so we escaped to the Bluffs and had no problem finding routes. I’ve been rained out at Squamish more than once in the summer. If the weather holds I would say Squamish could be fun.

  12. Well Minx - Your post in this super duper thread inspired me to consider the possibility of entering the push up contest. I was devestated when my personal trainier began lecturing me on how the contest would be smack dab in the middle of my "power" phase. Sadly a pushup competition is an "endurance"oriented activity and to participate would reduce the effectiveness of my training plan so I will not be able to compete.
  13. I just want you out of shape for the contest.
  14. Well I didnt say enjoyable but I found it odd that I read this earlier today. Note that there is no mention that Raymond Lakah is an Egyptian. Seems very odd given the subject matter. But then I read this and it mentions Lakah's purchase of the paper with the throw away comment that the newspapers might not be so influencial. Now combine this with the comments regarding paying off newspaper editors vs. tv stations in the article first linked in this post and ...

  16. Right, which is why Carter suggests that if we can't legally give humanitarian aid to the PLO right now, we funnel the money through UNICEF or another organization. Hmmmm..this quote perfectly expresses modern political behavior...
  17. More important than averages is periods of cold weather.
  18. TV?!?!?!?!?! Matt - This is a social event! Peter, this is Matt's subtle of telling you to talk to the hand because the face is angry. So, I shouldn't go. oh and CBS the answer is yes.
