Misinformation is what you just wrote. The anchors bolts aren't everywhere and for the most part seem to have been replacing existing rap stations. People can either discuss things in an engaging maner or they can choose to spray distorting what should be considered objective facts and hurl insults. Speaking of spray - you're a pretty good for three posts!

If I recall correctly before the bolt rap stations were in place there were some fix rap stations that included some pins. Someone placed some bolts for anchors and this is what the fuss is all about? I have no idea about the two bolt variation so am withholding comment on it but the general area has been rapped for years. As I wrote in another thread what a bunch of misinformation.

I know Oly but the Elements of Linking Style clearly indicate that there should alway be a link .

New? Egads those were there (in I think 2000) when I last climbed the route. One is a glue in with clear epoxy right? I just hate those things but they are SS so don't rust. The whole time I was using it I expected it to crack. Not to be a jerk but so many things stated as fact on cc.com are really so far from the truth that it's scary. The only person I believe on this site is Dru.

Mr DW's comments agree with my memory. CBS - Given all the groovy routes in Darrington OBS would be low on my list of "To Dos."

Hmm ...I think we thought OBS more to the left but my memory is pretty poor...I think OBS and WDE were reported in an old issue of the Mountaineers Journal. perhaps a better description of the routes resides there.

I have some pictures somewhere showing what a friend and I thought was OBS and WDE. I’ll post it if I can find it. Muddy Fingers looks nothing like I remember OBS although it could be in the WDE area. The approach to OBS was longer than Smoot’s description would suggest.

I remember from the second bolt climbing straight up ( 5.7ish knobs maybe slinging one or two along the way but otherwise runout) to a belay at a LFC (belay here if short rope) The LFC is a 5.8 handcrack that leads to the left side of Library Ledge. I think this link up is much better than the Hyperspace finish.
