blanket statements about anyone on this site you do not know might be a little on the overzealous side richard noggin. just because you buy an access fund shirt or work on a trail does not mean that other climbers out there are not doing similar things. how might you know when someone else is fixing up a trail, scrubbing climbs, replacing hardware, trundling loose dangerous blocks, or giving money to a pot of money to maintain a canadian hut system etc? that is a troll for argument if i ever saw one.

There is a small pinnacle just east of the east peak of Mount Daniel, and I think it has a name. It is a major pile of shit. I tried to solo up to the top once. About 6 feet of 2nd or 3rd class scrambling below the summit I stopped. It appeared possible that if I stood atop the thing the whole summit could possibley collapse. If I had a rope or anchor of some sort I would have summited the heap o shit. I wont be back.

I eat chopped bolts for breakfast. Typically on retrobolted cracks.

The truth is that unsightly bolts exist everywhere. Many of them are chicken bolts. I think that some routes at Trundle Dome and Upper 8 Mile Buttress should be chopped. The one in particular at Trundle Dome has a stupid start. You can easily walk around to the obvious "line" ramp on the left where they should have put the route up from in the first place. Then up higher on this route you get to toprope the crux with a bolt. All that when protection placements exist just below the crux. Chicken bolt. It can easily be argued that some bolts are ok but people just do not know where to draw the line. Bring on the bolt removal and chopping pals! Thanks to the guys removing bolts at Clamshell Cave.
