  4. i tried to onsight classic crack in leavenworth. i had just "aided" my first 5.9 crack lead (deception crack) ... but classic crack spanked me so hard i decided we'd spend the next day sport climbing at vantage. haven't been back to that damned crack yet ...
  5. boy, some people truly are weird!

  8. alright. all this talk of horsecock is making me hungry. now, i've had horsecock on many occasion ... and i've found that not all of them taste the same. some are yummy as shit ... but some just taste like shit. what's YOUR favorite kind?
  9. quote: Originally posted by sk: I like power bars. They don't taste or have the texture of anything that exists in nature, but they are quite adictive... as far as gu goes... I must just not be hard core enough. I have never tried it i haven't tried it either, but i'm getting ready to. not only are power bars HEAVY, but when you carry them around on high-altitude glaciers they become useless for just about anything but licking and looking at in disdain.
  10. quote: Originally posted by pete a: [QB]I've always wondered if anyone traveling solo on glaciers ... ever bothers bringing a shorty 8mm rope, tying it off to an anchor, crossing the bridge tied to the rope with a prussik or ascender, anchoring the rope once across the crevasse and then retrieving the first anchor. Seems overly complicated I guess ...[QB] this is one of the ideas i already had, and i am definitely planning to travel "equipped". it's really not so complicated, and i think the extra time will give more than a little extra peace of mind.
  11. i'd be willing to donate a thong as well since my "crimpy" bras may not be so enticing.

  14. no, I SUCK. i got 2 right - heineken and sapporo. and i've never even tasted a sapporo. i'd like to know what this says about my personality ...
  15. heh, heh. sk, i knew i liked you for a reason! for you, i can get 30. we know 15 is way too much time for men to know what to do with anyway!
  16. i wish!!! in all honesty, i can crank when there's a rope to follow but when it comes to leading i'm still looking for my balls. how about if i get you a backstage pass and 15 minutes alone with sheryl crow? (j/k, sk!)

  20. quote: Originally posted by IceScrewed: If you're driving to SLC, it's worthwhile to break up the drive by detouring to City of Rocks. now THERE's an awesome idea!!! too bad i won't have a partner with me ...
  21. quote: Originally posted by iceguy: Read the "Uemura" chapter in Wickwire's "Addicted to Danger"; some interesting stuff in there. Uemura-san used to climb solo with two bamboo poles tethered to his shoulders. oh, wait; don't have *that* one - thanks!
