  1. actually, the only times i've gotten penalty slack were on 11's. and if it weren't for those assholes -- i mean, partners -- i would have whined a lot more and it would have taken me a lot longer to get up them!
  2. suggested next-to-skin layer -- victoria's secret non-cotton seamless thong underwear:
  3. yummy? well, guess that depends who was wearing 'em at the time!
  4. you want altitude or just a workout? if you just want the latter and are pressed for time you could just do mt. si 2 or 3 times in one day. you could also just go up to muir (and maybe ingraham if they'll give you climbing permits for it) - that'll also get you more psyched for summiting.
  5. okay, i'm being fickle. but squamish is always my first choice! it's so close, it's so beautiful, it's so canadian ... and it rocks. anybody interested in joining me for some multi-pitch fun?
  6. dude, sk's gonna be there. you don't know what you're missing!!!
  7. i think i need new partners! when i whine i get penalty slack.
  8. i don't see anything big or tasty. in fact, i don't see anything at all.
  9. i've seen r&d. i think i'd rather save that for leading with a friend who doesn't really climb. i want to do something a little more challenging this week.
  10. newtons will help you climb harder, faster, higher ...
  11. i need to take a day off from work this week. that's what my boss says anyway. tough, i know. but anyway ... day off ... hmm ... what should i do? so many things cross my mind! but none of them quite strike my fancy like the ones that have to do with climbing. one day, though, isn't really enough time to get my fill of squamish. but god, i LOVE multi-pitch stuff. and i would like to work on my trad leads as well. so i was thinking orbit might be my kind of fun. anybody else's?
  12. get a clue. just because i have a law degree doesn't mean i'm an attorney. i don't have to sell (or buy) anything to fuck someone. i don't live in canada and didn't pay canadian prices for my pack. only morons pay sticker prices at car lots if you're not interested, why don't you find something you actually are interested in to spend your precious time on? (that's a rhetorical question.)
  13. erik may not want to admit it, but i saw him onsight a 10a sport route up at squamish this weekend. in fact, he must have really enjoyed it because i saw him tr the same route less than an hour later! last weekend: calculus crack, karen's math, memorial crack, a question of balance, triage arete, cold comfort, lust, star trek (cheakamus), slot machine, up from the bog, fathers & sons got about 7 pitches of trad leading in.
  14. This is a one- or two-year-old version of the Bora 62. Woman's pack (medium/regular torso length), color="Redrock" (like a rusty red), used one season - excellent condition. $280.00 (Also, matching pack cover, $20.00.)
  15. Older version of TNF's Superlight sleeping bag. Down-filled, 0-degree, regular length, left-zip, just over 3 pounds, excellent condition, and super warm. $120.00
  16. whoa; i didn't realize that was a real website. thanks for telling me where to go!
  17. quote: Originally posted by danielpatricksmith: Hugh Banner brass offset nuts cover the same sizes as RPs ... thanks! i've been doing a little research in the meantime myself and figured as much, although the smallest HB bronze offset (.15x.22) still isn't as small as the #0 (.09x.13) and the #1 (.13x.19) RP's.
  18. in the event of not specifically having RP's at one's service, what other nuts might suffice?
  19. I hear you. Life is like that sometimes.
