  2. so, who wants to go bouldering? (and i do NOT mean at the husky wall!!!)
  3. that's real purty!
  4. quote: Originally posted by Dr Flash Amazing: Plenty of bouldering around Leavenworth, isn't there? yeah; now that i look at the climbing guide there does appear to be quite a few of them. somehow, though, i'd rather drive to squish. if you add the drive and hike times together i bet they're pretty comparable. well, at least using my drive and hike times!
  5. haven't had a ton of experience with carrying it over yet, but i really like my grivel rock. (it's got a narrow frame that's "helpful" for retaining climbing mobility.
  6. don't you know that the best sex happens between two people who love each other?
  7. "hard" is relative. especially in boulder problems. i can work some stuff on the wall; i just don't get a workout from it. a workout, to me, involves sore muscles more than "sore tendons". anyway, i just prefer to boulder in relative seclusion, surrounded by nature, and on REAL boulders.
  8. dude, im dissin the rock cuz itz uglee. the gym is where i play in the wee hours of the morning before some people even get out of bed, and i get way more of a workout there than that wussy little wall could ever afford me. when it comes to bouldering i wanna slap my hands on the clean smooth flesh of one big rock stone, crimp my fingers on nature-made edges, and fall onto a bouldering pad surrounded by dirt and lush forests.
  9. trask, can you lead 5.14 sport? i'm looking for a man who can take me to the brink of heaven in more than one realm of existence.
  10. geez, dude; you're not looking for much, are you?
  11. sk, we both know those guys are all just jealous and frustrated! (except for jkrueger, that is; at least he's got one of us! )
  12. just curious if any of you have used the mini traxion as an ascender for self-belay ...

  14. off topic, but i can't help myself. (it's the first thing i thought of when i saw this thread title ... triumph ... the insult comic dog
  15. lucky for him, i don't choose my partners based on looks!
  16. thanks - mostly about soloing via tr, but "interesting" anyway.
  17. yet another reason to move to squamish. (as if i needed another one!!!)
  18. my silent partner isn't getting shipped out until monday, so until then i need a real live talking one. sunday or monday. not too far away since my car's "hurt". super multi-pitch sport routes 10a-c would be cool ... but easier trad would work - for leading i mean; i can follow into the 11's. pm me.
  19. if it doesn't even look like a boulder, i'm NOT interested!
  20. quote: Originally posted by Dr Flash Amazing: Uh, anyone see any, err, resemblance between the MadRock Flash and the 5.10 Anasazi Velcro? i actually thought they looked kind of like the 5.10 ascent. but really, don't most climbing shoes kind of look alike?
  21. i just gave wren industries my credit card info. i actually don't like attention. i'm kind of anti-social in some ways -- or, rather, i enjoy doing things on my own (yeah; that's it!) , and that's partly why i wanted this device. anyway, i can hardly wait for my new parnter to arrive ... (no more stressing out over not being able to find someone else to climb where and when i want!)
  22. "the hooker" ... hmm ...
  23. in terms of the-closer-to-seattle-the-"better" ... where? (and is there a guide for that?) ps - not interested in concrete, and looking for v0-v4.
  24. quote: Originally posted by wayne1112: Have fun with it,it beats sitting at home Sure does, and that's the plan! TG: If you qualify, Wren will give you a pro deal at wholesale - which is an "affordable" $135 (thanks to my car being rear-ended while I was in Salt Lake). Don't know of any other deals around.
