  1. merci, madame. j/k - as in i don't think that's the only reason, but anyway ...
  2. i've got a pair of these gloves. i've used them several times for ice climbing and have been using them for skiing as well becaues i love the feel and dexterity. i've never had a problem with the seams or anything else. i love 'em. (honestly, they're not very warm when you're sittin' around and they're not waterproof ... but they're not *supposed* to be!)
  3. it's the weather, dude. it's not giving enough.
  4. cute cartoon.

    HELP

i can't see it either, dude.
  6. nice all-or-nothing attitude. why don't you quit your bitchin' and find a way to enjoy what you got. (klenke, just do a search for graemlins and you'll find plenty to put in your cage.)
  7. just consider it one of life's cycles. c'est la vie, ya know? you either keep up the hope ... or - well - you'll have little to which to look forward.
  8. don't you know it!
  9. it sucks today ... but it will be snowing soon.

gregw may be a fucker, but he ain't that ugly.
  12. or is tons of fun. i won't be able to make it this time since i'm still trying to pay the ransom money on my car. (unless you're driving and want to carpool ...) word of caution: stay away from the liberty/abc guys - they're trouble.
  13. well imho, they hike just fine on moderate terrain (especially granite slabs). they're not really meant for "climbing" anything technical; that's why 5.10 makes technical rock climbing shoes. i have worn them for somewhat lengthy day hikes/approaches and find them way comfier than the more traditional hiking boot. my only "real" complaint so far is that they are rather bulky to pack.
  14. i love my ortovox professional shovel.
  15. umm. how 'bout i show you all the cool cliffs i wanna drop some day?
  16. i like my 5.10 mountain masters. not sure about your durability concern there, though. i've only had mine one season ...
  17. drop me off where? if it's crystal, that might work - i could pretty easily find a place to stay all weekend; would just need to find another ride back. oh, and i don't get off work until 6pm. ???
  18. how 'bout a black eye?
  19. anybody going from seattle on friday? or saturday? or sunday? my car is still being held hostage by my mechanic, so i'm looking for a ride. crystal or stevens please! anybody???
  20. what about tigger???
  21. well, i'll be down there skiing - regardless of whether it's raining or snowing ... or none of the above. but i'm praying for some fluffy stuff!
  22. i agree. pray for cooler temps at crystal please!!!
  23. i see that you (toast) lives in fremont. is that anywhere near tost? i've heard they have good martinis, but, tost, i also hear wine is better to toast with. their wine by the glass selection is yummy. and last time i was there they had little tiny toasts with olive spread on top.
