  1. Hyalite sucks. Go to Canaedia or?
  2. I love these guys running around with video cams to catch these precious moments, sigh.....
  3. Jack, they've been gone for a few years now. Thanks for your interest and good luck. God bless America!
  4. Who is posting this garbage? Why don't you tell us what you've done with the real JayB? Jay, if you can hear me, I'm sending out the silent black choppers, hang on buddy!
  5. Jens: If you really think you should get new tires just do it. It ain't worth the stress and lost time in digging out/waiting for a tow or worse.
  6. If memory serves me right, there is the North "rib" and north "face" route which would be the standard route for the north peak. The rib would be a variation on the north face route proper. I can verify the north face route is covered in old sketchy rap anchors and pretty simple to follow the trail of tat. I believe the folks who climb the north "rib" typically descend the north "face". Pack a big lunch and a bivy sack, pretty tough routefinding on that thar peak, a lot of people underestimate it (including me).
  7. She should have used the "dynamic" belay.
  8. Sounds like you've put quite a bit of thought into how to act in the least suspicious manner. Hmm...just curious, when's the last time you were in uh, I don't know, maybe - BREMERTON?!!!
  9. Great. Now what you going to use?
  10. I thought this thread was about Cascadeclimbers.com
  11. And the atomic weight of carbon.
  12. You city folk don't know a hole lot about anything do ya? The "thing" on top of his car is an anchor as he is obviously just positioning his jeep to go fishing. Jeeze what kind of idiot would purposley drive into a river whithout an anchor?
  13. I find your terminology degrading. Couldn't you send him a more proffessional note on where to find his post in the form of a PM so he doesen't feel so humiliated and I don't have to keep paper towels in my desk drawer to constantly clean up after spraying coffee all over my desk when I burst out laughing. Inconsiderate moderators, I am out of here too!!!
  14. Haven't you seen the memo? The climber having the most fun is the one with the best thermos!
  15. funny, I like to tell my partners "steal my shit and I'll burn your house down!"
  16. If one were to attempt to pre heat one's thermos with MAGMA would the temperature of the MAGMA melt said thermos? how would one best remove the MAGMA if one forgot to pour out the MAGMA while still hot?
  17. Here's some advice - pre heat your thermos by putting hot fluids in it and letting it sit for a few minutes. Then empty the fluids into the sink or on the ground outside. Now fill your thermos with delicous rich coffee or some savory green tea. BINGO! I'm not trying to stir the pot too much here but, does anyone know if the molecular structure of tea vs coffee lends to one retaining heat better than the other?
  18. Here's another little tidbit I learned working outside all last winter. Wrap your thermos in a jacket or extra clothing and it will keep your coffee warm much longer on a cold ass day. I found my coffee cold if left outside unprotected in sub zero weather for a couple hours. I do have two models, one the run of the mill green stanley for work and one smaller (16oz?) stainless job I'll take in my pack. The smaller one won't hold heat as well probably due to just having less volume to cool down.
  19. Yep. Hey my low voltage electricans just got here so I gotta go make fun of them to compensate for my insecurity at only being 5'2" and having failed highschool chemistry.
  20. Yeah, passionate about being geeks!

    140lbs??!!!!

Need I say - trees are aid.
  22. I've been in prison. I killed a guy in self defence who was threatening me with a #4 Tri cam. He thought I was a bear or something.
  23. what are you going to do with the #4 catbird? fend off bears?
  24. Shot a whitetail with my bow, bought a tractor, built a road and garage, got a new job making better money, caught some fish in my neighbor's pond and spent all of one day climbing - some undeveloped limestone crag near my home. I did reorganize my climbing gear though!
  25. Blake is making a joke about JoshK's comments on Jens's and Loren's recent J-berg ascent. It was good fodder during their slide show, and everybody had a good over it. eh, yeah, I guess I missed that. I'll try to keep up on the TR's now that I have a semi-desk job again. I'm gonna have to put in overtime to catch up though.
