  9. Approach up Wall Creek as per Grimface then cut right up "cathedral Fork" and make illegal border crossing and walk along ridge past the pope complex and down to Cathedral Lakes. lotsa windfall trees. From the PCT? are you on Crack? Thats way the hell back in manning park!

    Spraying Mantis.
  11. The ice, as of a week and a bit ago, was down to just above the "buttress toe" start. So doing the bypass you would need to cross the pocket and otherwise you would start with potential for icefaling on you. As for the descent I hear you need to make 1 50m rap.

  13. Beckham guide, you mean McLane guide???? Nice Godzilla Pix. where is the Smog monster though?
  14. 8 hr approach via Canada.
  15. The hike in took an indeterminate time, in a haze of smoky timelessness. The road requires a key or a couple of stacked Z-tons to break open the lock. The descent involves going downhill. Look it up in your copy of Alpine Select.

  21. I reassert my view that the West Buttress of the South Peak may just be the best alpine rock climb in the world, even if it is easy. I can't understand why it doesn't see line ups every weekend, altho I'm kinda glad it doesn't.
  22. Skulduggery 10a and Split Beaver 10b in the Smoke Bluffs.
