Sounds like a hard climb. Something was mentioned about 5.10 runouts and would not do it again. so this is the buttresses on the ridge from slesse to crossover, right of fraser ribber? at least the rock is good over there.
  6. i believe the lesser common spotted snafflehound (snafflehundus chronicus horsecockii) has teeth ideally suited to swaging guitar strings.

    FALL!!!!!!!!

Caveman and I tried this certain obscure buttress in Slesse area. Hiked in. Hiked out of a cloud sea to BLUE SKY AND SUNRISE sweet. took pix. yodeled for tex and highlander to hear on NE butt. climbed some pitches including a fun traverse that ate too much time and gear and required inventiveness like changing from hiking boots to slippers halfway through. we got to a 3rd class section 6 pitches up, called slow and bailed off. fun rappel into the void and touch down at 59.5m fell down on slabs on the hike back down. got to road, back to town, smokey drinkey, insulted a local politician. i think ray was impressed by the cdn. political system sunday we went up to rescue tex and highlander from the rain but they had already completed route and went home.
  10. what about going over the summit and down SE face? didn't want to deal with the "5.8" step on NW ridge? when i did central it was snowy and we just went down oz gully in about 1/2 hour of step kicking and glissading.

So do your own research and you will be rewarded if it is good research. I dont climb much or at any high level but I like to get out there and have fun. There is a wicked first ascent to be done on the north side of Mt. Mason. Make a 4 day bushwack approach from Nahatlatch River then climb the obvious trail of airplane debris until you reach the crashed float plane below the summit.
  18. i heard he sold his scuba suit for crack...

  20. y'all should do classic north gully instead. pull on devils club, trundle boulders, chop your rope, climb up gullies resembling running drains...

  22. “If you’re not on the mountain alone, who you’re climbing with is the most important decision you can make,” Gauthier said. This quote oughta show up STICKY on the Climbing Partners page

  25. If you get spendy Intuition custom closed-cell liners for your plastic boots, the closed cell foam cannot absorb water so your liner always stays dry. then you dont need VBLs OR Bread sacks.... I never used them myself but some friends used them and said they were the shit..ok they got em as a sponsorship deal... anybody out there use the Intuition and can comment first hand?
